My husband and I loved the decor. The staff was friendly. The elevator was amazing.

One of the best hotel beds I've ever slept on!!! We upgrade our superior room to the deluxe for 12 euros, & it was very much worth it. The room was a pink/purple color scheme which we loved, the bed was the most comfortable bed we've EVER slept in, and the balcony had an AMAZING view. Our room was very clean & comfortable. I wished we had stayed more days here just to relax. Also, right outside the hotel on the corner, was a taxi spot so it was super easy for us to catch a taxi. It was also within 5 minute walking distance to the metro. We didn't do the breakfast option, so not sure how breakfast is.

This is a nice hotel with friendly staff and lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The rooms are small but the layout works well. It would be helpful if the room descriptions could include something about the view from the room. Our 'superior' room had a window that didn't open and that looked out on a small enclosed shaft from which no daylight was visible. The hotel is a half hour walk to the Sagrada Familia and same distance to the port. The parking nearby is 24€ per night with the hotel discount and it is safe and clean. Notwithstanding it being in the Low Emission Zone, we were able to drive our rental car in and out of the city without trouble, but we'll have to wait until we return the car to see if we got any penalties.

It was a nice place. I would probably stay there again, but the door on our patio. The lock was broken, so we couldn't lock the door the entire time

Staff was really helpful , the breakfast was great, location is good for traveler , supermarket and restaurant nearby, walkable distance to subway station, highly recommend

A Gem in Barcelona

This hotel is a gem! The experience was excellent from the moment we arrived at the front desk to the early morning departure. The staff went out of their way to support our stay in Barcelona. I highly recommend this hotel.

We booked a total of 7 nights however since we flew from North America, it was an innocent error that we got the ETA mixed up and we arrived one day late. We still checked into the hotel for the remainder of our stay and we begged/pled the hotel to waive the one night no show charge coz someone could lose their job for this error! But even when Expedia tried to help negotiate, the hotel showed zero empathy and insisted to charge the few hundred dollars and who cares if someone was to lose their job?! In today's world, money/profit should really not be everything, empathy, understanding, forgiveness and kindness should all come before a few hundred dollars. Personally I would never recommend this hotel ever and I hope whomever reads this will stay away from them.

It was an ok stay. I just expected the rooms would be cleaner especially the toilet and bathroom. The breakfast was good though. Reception did their best to assist. It was what I paid for so I guess I cannot expect more than what I received. But the area was excellent. Great for shopping and eating and walkable.

Comfortable But Lacking Privacy for Bathroom

The bed was comfortable and there was a fridge and coffee/tea provided as well as a hairdryer and shampoo. A problem my friend and I ran into was we were planning to use the laundry facilities that the hotel listing said were available but it turned out it was just a laundry service they used that took at least 36 hours to turn around the clothes. For people who had been wearing everything they packed with the expectation of being able to quickly launder everything when arriving, this was very misleading. Also, the bathroom area was not conducive to privacy as the shower door was completely clear glass with nothing to obstruct the view of the person showering. This was very annoying and also not advertised in the hotel listing.

Great staff and convenient location

Allegro met our expectations. It’s well located for accessing the metro, Hop On Hop Off and walking to attractions such as Placa Catalunya, Sagrada Familia. The check in/ checkout was quick and staff were very helpful, friendly and polite.

Great stay! Good location

The check in experience was a bit confusing. We booked 4 rooms but the staff had all our names and rooms mismatched. Also we were told that the breakfast was included for all our rooms at check in but that was disputed by the check out staff. The young staff was rude and aggressive till the manager intervened and clarified the discrepancy.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon checking out the desk clerk came outside with us and jogged down the street to get a taxi for us!

Staff was not friendly and no outdoor space for hotel guest to have downtime.

Hotel sencillo, bien localizado, con estaciones del tren cerca y buenos lugares para comer y disfrutar cerca. Empleados muy amables. No tiene lujos pero tiene lo que simplemente se necesita para descansar cuando uno va a un viaje que es poco el tiempo que permanece en el hotel. Volveria.

Second time stay

We stayed here last year and loved it so much we stayed again this year! Such a cute hotel, great location, has everything you need. The staff ia super nice and friendly. The hotel offers a great breakfast too at a very reasonable price

The property is showing its age a little. New flooring in the bed area and fixing some fixtures (our light pendant had a detached bulb from the fixture) will update it and make this a 5 star experience. Everything else was great.

It was a very good experience overall. The breakfast had different choices and was fresh every day. What was the best about this hotel was that they gave us the room right at our arrival. I understand this is only possible if it is available, but after a very long flight (10+ hrs) it was an unexpected treat! Very much appreciated.

Great stay!

Good location with chopping and restaurants and sidewalk cafes around the area. It was easy to catch a cab nearby to visit other neighbourhoods. The room was very comfortable. We had a room with a terrace which we loved! The staff was very friendly and luckily for us, they all spoke English.

Liked the boutique style and breakfast buffet No grab bars in shower.

Party across the street on Sunday night was so loud, Kept us up all night .

A good hotel with very helpful staff

Very aesthetically pleasing hotel, one of the reasons I had booked it. Love the pink theme throughout. Fantastic location with a station in walking distance, just a few minutes away or walkable to the city centre. Breakfast was great and the staff had provided us a packed lunch on the day we checked out as we had to leave before breakfast was served. Rooms are also very pretty and the beds were cosy and comfortable with good AC. Hairdryer and Steamer was provided in the room, which I was grateful for as I had forgot to bring my own. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay here. Would defo recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in the city centre.

Allegro Barcelona offers a walkable experience to many places around the city with its location. It is also very walkable to 2 city metro which lead to very popular areas. The front desk staff were always very pleasant and eager to help. They took great care to ensure we checked in and checked out with timeliness and efficiency.

Close to shopping areas. Taxi station is nearby. Breakfast was good. Highly recommend this place.

Excelente Hotel y muy buena ubicación.

This hotel is nicely located in Eixample. However, it does match their description. The overall cleanliness is not saisfactory. No USB in the room. You can find better hotel in the areas.

Description not accurate

The room was comfortable and the staff very helpful. However, the description on hotels.com did not specify that this was an inside room with no natural light. The only window faced an atrium. Given this, the price was too high. The description should specify that there are no real windows.

I advised them that a sink drained slowly and that the mattress I slept on sagged.

Amazing stay at Allegro Barcelona last week

The staff were so kind and helpful and the hotel was such a lovely place to stay. Everything was very modern, clean and decorated nicely and there was a real focus on eco-friendly products etc. in the room. Would defintely stay here again next time we're in Barcelona!

Close to the action but old outdated carpet.

The location was ideal but the room - with its stained/dirty looking carpet made our stay unpleasant.

We enjoyed our 5 day stay here. Very close to a metro station making it easy to travel everywhere by subway. Hotel is modern, clean and spacious. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There are restaurants and small grocery stores nearby as well.

The front desk is very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is very close to metro station, lot of good restaurants nearby. The breakfast in the hote was good. We enjoyed overall stay for three days.

All of the staff throughout the week were really friendly and helpful. I had accidentally booked a twin rather than a double and they were more than happy to help us swap rooms. They recommended various places for dinner and were always really lovely. The location is good and right by the metro. Lovely places to eat very close to the hotel, all walking distance. The hotel was amazingly clean.

It is a five star hotel for us. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, especially Unai( not sure if my spelling is right). The location is great. The Buffet breakfast included in our booking is very good. Lots of selection. The room is in very good condition.

Favourite hotel of the trip

Hotel staff was amazing and so patient. The staff explained everything we needed to know about Barcelona when we checked in. The room was so comfortable and not too small. Location was convenient too, mostly very walkable to attractions and near a few metro stations. The restaurants around this hotel were all ace as well. Will come back to stay here when we return!

Location is excellent like to Casa Battlo or Diagonal Metro stop are both very short walks. Tons of dining options also in walking distance. Buffet offered is worth the 13 Euros as it has a lot of choices and not just Continental one. Cold water at the door and couple in room fridge. Good views of neighboring buildings at least from my room. Very clean, quiet, and conservation minded Hotel. No complaints. Enjoyed are 5 nights.

Was a great hotel and location. We had a problem wit TV the fridge which didn’t work whilst we were there which was a pain as all our water and drinks were warm, but on the last day we were given a few snacks to say sorry that they couldn’t fix it for us.

Location is near by to Catalunya…around 10 mins walk, 2 mins by metro. Good value for money. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Unai from the reception who patiently explained and guided how we should plan our visit and recommended some good place to try the local delicacies, etc.

The hotel is very clean, bright and modern. We had a superior room which was very comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The shower was great! Buffet style breakfast was great - plenty of choice. Customer service was good on chieck in and check out. The local area is great for drink / eat options and transport connections.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel is completely renovated. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel has in the corner many bakeries and restaurants and also you can take a taxi easily. Also has a good ubication. Super recomended.

We loved the Allegro Hotel. The staff was very friendly, they were always willing to assist. The location is very covenient, it is close to the metro, the trains and there are also several bus stops around. There are plenty of options to eat around and the hotel also offers breakfast. It is very close to La Pedrera. The beds were.confortable, the room was very clean and well maintained. We loved our stay here.

My sink was completely clogged. A staff member came to check it out, but no one then came to actually fix it. Like it was so clogged that gross stuff was coming out from the drain, so I just used the shower as a sink for my stay.

This hotel has good size room with great city views in a good location close to paseo de Gracia. Staff is friendly and ready to address any need s from guests.

The Staff helpful, but does not have experienced, when I arrived they told me that there is no parking on the premises, they also gave me a room 702 that was already taken ( it had a guest sleeping ). There is no express check out, and staff at the check out could not send a bill by mail and could also not print it... The rooms are big, but need a new look. It was better run under Rome Mate management

Amazing stay

Came to Barcelona for a weekend trip, stayed two nights and it was lovely. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was cleaned after every night. Location of the hotel was very good, lot of transport and can even walk into the city centre

Nice hotel in the middle of hundreds of cafes and restos. Perfectly clean. Breakfast also good Friendly staff. We didn’t have any challenge not speaking Spanish! The only thing that could be better was the size of the rooms. But looking at the buildings and surrounding, we couldn’t expect large rooms. Unless you go to those luxury hotels a bit farther. Thanks for your hospitality.

Good stay

Most of the things were good or more then good, room was clean it was quiet no street noise whatsoever. Breakfast was ok maybe if they had few more choices would be better but overall was good. Bad thing was mattress which was so soft I didn't sleep so good. Second thing which was super weird for me was we got 1 bottle of water and that was it. Normally I got at least two bottles each day in other places but not here.

Very pleasant hotel, we were on the court side so very quiet and we were able to park our rental vehicle in their parking, which was very safe. Easy to walk to different areas of Barcelona. Great breakfast and amazing staff.

Nice hotel with very comfortable beds. Rooms were pretty spacious for a European hotel. Location is great. Parking is €24 per day at a parking lot about a block and a half away from the hotel. Definitely recommend!

Location, contemporary, friendly staff, size of the room

“Windows” in Standard rooms look inside the building and you can’t open them (as we were told for security reasons) - it was extremely difficult to breath in the room. Breakfast is good - fresh orange juice, Scramble eggs, hash browns etc.

Breakfast is really good. Convenient location. Close to Casa Batllo and Casa Miro. Room a little small but good enough. Shower is big.
