I have stayed at Aliathon many times, unfortunately this trip didn't meet their usual great standard. Staff were amazing as always, maybe it's because it is out of season, but the property needed a good deep clean and a bit of an uplift

Almost perfect.

Beautiful hotel, great location, mostly friendly staff. The hotel itself is spacious, modern and well appointed. A kettle was provided to my room on request and extra towels provided without issue. I was however refused a Cyprus coffee with my breakfast which is unacceptable for a hotel of this standard (and in Cyprus) and the breakfast staff seemed disinterested in any form of customer service other than to stand guard around the buffet. Also, the panels in the lift were detaching and the carpet on the room floors are very thin, which isn’t a great look and needs attention - no carpet would be much better than bad carpet. Otherwise, this hotel far exceeded my expectations and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay here (our 3rd year in a row). I would say the self-catering facilities need a bit of improvement - we didn’t have any breakfast bowls to begin with which we had to request or any sharp knives either. Apart from that we couldn’t fault the hotel, it is brilliant for the kids as well.

We have had a lovely relaxing week at the Aliathon. There are lots of good things about this holiday village. The staff are friendly and helpful, there are lots of food and shopping options, the gym is good…however the pools are too cold to enjoy for any length of time- this is a problem with other resorts in the area and since the resort isn’t directly on the sea (which is warm with sandy/rocky beaches) it is hard to spent time in the water. Also, I would say that the furnishings and facilities in the apartments are a bit mean- small towels, not enough storage, not much cutlery and the maid service do a fairly basic job. If you or your kids want a holiday in the pool in autumn, check if it’s warm enough in the water.

Good hotel for weekend stop. Breakfast a bit on the cold side due to air con in restaurant and poor heat lamps. Swim up suite was excellent fun for my daughter and well recommended.

The property online looked quite nice but on arrival it appeared that the photos were old/doctored and that the property had been somewhat neglected for some time. Not on daily tasks but over time allowed to deteriorate and repairs not executed to maintain the high quality experience that was advertised. The floor in our room was severely scratched and damaged, and areas around the room had clearly worn over years without even the effort to repaint. The hotel contained multiple restaurants but the online information was all out of date leaving us confused on what was available. The only restaurant information was provided on a very basic printed sheet with limited information. We ended up finding the out of date google maps information more useful than this print out. Finally, the biggest issue was the quite obvious cockroach problem. We found multiple in our room, and throughout the night could hear noises in the walls. It was ultimately not worth the cost of the swim up room.

Cleanliness Lacking

The room we received was all the way to the back of the property and so could not get WiFi signal. It also smelled like feces and someone left chewed up gum on the bedside table near the remotes. Asked to change rooms, and they did even better by upgrading our room to a resort room in their other property next door. However, this room had a dirty toilet and used coffee pods. We were only staying one night, so we just dealt with it. Staff is super nice and breakfast buffet at the resort property was delicious with many options. However, a clean room and WiFi is a must for me. Will not be staying here again.

Excellent clean accommodation, nice pools

Excellent spacious apartment. Nice private pool and good breakfast. Didn’t like the fishing village area but we were far enough away not to be disturbed. Convenient location for our short break. Didn’t like the degrading astroturf areas around the pool with micro plastics everywhere. Coffee machine in room no good and no milk but could get drinks elsewhere no problem. Overall would recommend.

Heaven

This place is heaven. So Beautiful, clean, lots of nature around, and all the area of the hotel is just stunning. I would add some vegan options for the breakfast, it’s would be amazing. Many people becoming vegan these days, hotels should too. I love the fact that they also have sweet beautiful cats living there, it brings so much joy and peace to the atmosphere of the hotel. Thank you Aegean for your warm welcoming, for the room upgrade and for helping me to extend the room for another 2 nights. can’t wait to be back again.

Although large, all amenities are easily accessible. Lovely food and good choice. All staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms cleaned daily

Great location. Restaurants and beach close enough to walk to. Tennis court needs updated. Need new Tennis balls and tennis racquets handles need redone. Pools were nice and clean.

The room was not the same as what was displayed in the photos when booking. The room was in need of modernisation and it had not been cleaned properly.

Lovely stay

Ideal holiday destination with everything all in one place

The property was nice and the cleaning staff very friendly. Not sure if front desk help was new or short staffed, but my friend and I kept getting mixed information about the resort.

Staff was excellent and common areas beautiful, but the two room apartment was dirty and very sparse

Overnight stay, due to delayed flight. So, we didnt use any facilities.

Very pleasant, the rooms are laid out very nicely and the price was vey reasonable. And not easy to reach with the bus from the airport

LOVED my stay at Aliathon, I have stayed here two times. It is about a 2 min walk to the beach, easy parking, lovely staff. The apartments also have little kitchenettes so it was nice to be able to eat in a few times too. I've stayed many different places in Paphos this is my favourite so far!

Poor standard of housekeeping and maintenance, rubbish left from previous guests and unclean fridge and kitchen area. Bathroom had foul spell of sewage and noise continued throughout the night.

Pools are amazing on this site, grounds and facilities are well looked after

The hotel grounds were nice and clean. I am not sure if my husband and I just got a older room as my parents room was next to us and it was much nicer than ours. Our room was old and pretty dirty with a lot of bugs. Overall our stay was pleasant but disappointing as a lot to things were closed (i.e. pool bar). Not sure if we would stay again or try somewhere a little newer. *my review is based on coming here on off- season, I would assume everything would be open during the season.

It was a verypleasing place to stay look forward to coming back.

Paphos perfection

Our first stay here even though we have visited so many times before abs stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels in paphos we wished we had stayed here sooner . Fabulous place to stay huge complex but felt very homely and lovely grounds. Ate at the Greek restaurant on complex which was wonderful. Had alongwalk around and discovered to much more to this hidden gem of a complex !

Wi-Fi was a bit of an issue, but otherwise it’s a lovely place with several warm pools and happy, helpful staff. The rooms could have been cleaned better! Lovely selection at breakfast.

Disappointing - not as expected.

We were incredibly disappointed with the service here. It was not of hotel standard.

Paphos

Stayed a few days very much a holiday village.

Really nice resort let down by the small details. No in-room info and no clue how to contact reception, although when we guessed their phone number they didn't answer anyway. Staff didn't know where villas were, unkempt grounds but they were working on them. At a guess most of this was simply a COVID hangover as the staff were really nice and seemed hardworking. Breakfasts were excellent as was Italian restaurant. Would we stay again - yes!

Apart from the fast check-in time and the appearance of the property, it was a disappointing experience. AC did not work, the safe was broken, 2 out of 3 bathroom light were burnt, no toiletries or slippers were provided, and no irons allowed in the room despite the availability of the ironing board which is ironic! And the ironing room was more than a 10 minute walk! No "do not disturb" labels available, so the house keepers keeps knocking and waking us up early in the morning... I don't understand how this hotel got a high rating!

While I liked the overall place, it did tend to overpromise. Lots of the facilities promised were closed. It was also very full and staff was not well informed about what is open and what was closed

Very nice and quiet place. Room was very good and very clean. You will find also very good breakfast. Visit end of March 2022.

Upgraded to resort hotel at no extra charge, food excellent, staff friendly and helpful, accommodation and all areas immaculate. Would recommend.

Lovely overnight stay. The hotel is very spacious and clean, our toddler loved the splash park. Friendly staff, food was great and we are definitely planning to stay again.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful stay at the hotel. First time. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Delicious buffet and fantastic water park for children under 12 years. Pool areas and toilets always clean my 9 year old son and I had an amazing time. Thank you to all the staff x

Swim-suit accomodation is amazing.. Good aminities, friendly staff. Overall had a nice stay.

We had a beautiful time, staff always at hand making sure we were well catered for. Hotel is near popular tourist attractions and easily accessible.

It's a very impressive site with various entertainment, eating and leisure options. The large swimming pool made an instant impact. The front desk staff were polite.

Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Clean. Great car parking. Balconies not private. Located a little far from centre of town/harbour but public transport available.

Very good family vacation

We stayed for 6 days during Aug. a family of 5 + 2 grandmothers. the resort is very clean and the staff is super friendly all the time. Breakfast was good though remained the same for the entire stay. many pools for the kids. none of them offer any shade. there are many sunbeds but a few more are needed. Nice splash area for small kids (up tp age of 10). location is good - about 10 min. drive to the harbor. Free WIFI in the entire resort. some disconnections here and there but all in all pretty good.

Just lovely! Very peaceful and relaxing. The Aegean area is quiet but there is a more fun-filled area for children if needed, known as the Ionian or Fishing Village.

Very comfy and easy holiday, fantastic if u have kids, safe for them to wonder around, waterpark, many swimming pools and activities.

Amazing experience, loved our stay. Lively facilities, children-friendly, excellent food and very convenient for family holiday with kids. Will definitely recommend our friends and even return!

Great stay with our family of three!

The grounds are beautifully designed and spacious. Our 2-year-old had lots of fun just cycling around on the paved paths between the large lawns and pools. The buffet restaurant is very convenient with children, with a generous choice of food, and if you want something more high-class you got the italian restaurant above. There's also a convenience store and a sandwich stall just by the entrance to hotel, and more restaurants in a mall in 50meters, making the stay very convenient. The beach is in 5 mins walk, and Paphos centre is in 40mins pleasant stroll along the beachfront path. We also got upgraded from a studio to 1-bedroom apartment which was a treat.

Aliathon Aegean Village Standard Studio

Stayed at the Aliathon Aegean Village for one night on 30th March. They even extended my room stay by an hour without charge to connect with my outgoing flight. The room was a standard studio. I would say it was far more spacious than a standard. Exceptionally clean and well equipped kitchenette. Bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower/wet room. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Staff including porters, reception and restaurant were very friendly and attentive. The only negative was the poor WiFi connection but only whilst in the room. Anywhere else throughout the complex it was excellent. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend.

As this was early in the season, the complex was very empty. The staff were all very friendly and the place was very clean. The only way I think it can be improved is for there to be some information in the room telling you about the facilities of the complex and information about Paphos and Cyprus. There was a sauna etc but very hard to find. There is a very good bus service from outside the hotel to the centre of Paphos. Only a couple of minutes walk from the beach.

Great accommodation, facilities and food choices.

We stayed for just three nights but were impressed by the cleanliness and facilities on site. The included breakfast was fabulous with the biggest selection imaginable. Perfect location to come with your children. Lots of restaurants in locality and on bus routes to old Paphos.

Good but there were some ants in the appartment.

Dissatisfaction regarding the fact i lost a personal thing of mine, none took it. Wasn't in the room. Overall was clean. You have to walk a lot to arrive to your room. Polite receptionist.

Maybe it's better in the Summer

Mixed feelings about the review. We arrived late at night to find our room really really smelled of cigarettes. A turn-off since we don't smoke. We would have asked for another room but we were told they were fully booked. The location wasn't bad and we easily parked on the side street, however the last day the boiler didn't work and there wasn't any hot water. I walked to the front desk because the phones didn't work either to ask for help and was told that the boiler was fixed but still a few hours later, we still didn't have any hot water. Overall the location was a winner, the water was too cold in Nov to use the pool and we didn't eat at their restaurants so our experience based solely on the room was a little blah.

Great family hotel :) We stayed for 4 nights with three children under 5 and we really enjoyed it. totally recommended

We could not fault the accommodation, and the grounds are a delight. The Village is well-planned and suitable especially to young families.

Not what expected from a 4 star hotel

This was not what I d expect from a 4 star hotel. I had a bad first impression of the room, as I found pieces of sand inside the wardrobe. I was massively surprised when I realized there was no hot water during the evening times. (not fixed by the time we left). No bath supplies which is expected from a 4 star hotel and no room service which again I d expect from a 4 star hotel. The food was average, I would give it a 3 star hotel rating. The stuff is good.. The swimming pools are very nice (as seen in screen) and the greek restaurant has very good food. It is more suitable for family vacations; with a beautiful inside waterpark for kids. Overall I would expect more.

Great hotel for families with snall children

We had a great time at the hotel and the pool and small waterpark were amazing. One thing that was upsetting is that the wifi connection in our room didnt work due to bad reception. Also th peices for soft drinks in the pool bar were too high. All in all i recommend this hotels for families.

Great week with the kids at a great hotel

We stayed at the Aliathon for 7 nights with our 2 kids. We absolutely loved our stay there and would recommend to our friends. The hotel is very well maintained and is very spacious and fun. It has several pools with a very nice children water play area. The food is OK, not more. They serve a very handful of dishes at every meal but most of it is not so tasty.

It was our second time at aliathon hotel.everything was great but this time we got disappointed with the food.
