Great location .Walking distance to town center.Easy access to the highway. Room could use some additional venting. There is a shelter next door where residence sit out front. They were not any trouble during our stay.

Studio was very clean, comfortable, close to everything.

Proximity to everything downtown!!! Kitchenette is handy for snacks and drinks. Hot in the summer and no fans is my only complaint. Watch the parking garage hours… can’t access your vehicle outside of open hours so find street parking and pay the meter!!!

This is a nice centrally located property. Our room was comfortable. Unfortunately getting to our room was not! We were on the 4th floor with a steep narrow spiral staircase as our only access. We are two senior citizens and getting our luggage up and down was actually dangerous. Unless you are young and fit do not book here or request a ground floor room (then you will only have one flight of stairs up from the street level)

It was clean and a good location. The only downside was the street outside had people hanging out most of the day and the people on the street were loud around 2AM.

My wife and I stayed here briefly before taking off on a tour of Iceland. The apartment was comfortable and we were thrilled to see basic kitchen amenities as well as public laundry facilities. Communication was excellent and they made us aware of the check in process and that no one would be present but it was super easy. The apartment is located in a very central area and we were able to walk to many places conveniently.

We only stayed here for one night but it could not have been easier! Easy to find, easy to park, walked into the town for something to eat and a comfortable nights sleep. Warm and cosy. We would have happily stayed longer :) Great first night in Iceland !

Nice property, perfect for a trip to Reykjavik! Near shops and a grocery store. Also near a bus stop that most tours use! Highly recommend!

Check in process was not communicated properly. Food was left in trash and microwave when we checked in too. Everyone else was fantastic

What a lovely little studio, equipped with everything you need to enjoy your trip, highly recommend it.

We really liked this property, well located and quiet. Overall clean and basic appliances if you want to cook, reheat food etc. Only downside is that there’s no elevator, so it was a bit hard to get the suitcases upstairs.

Great location! Plenty of room for 3 people and the kitchen was great. Loved the access to laundry. Would stay here again for sure.

The studio apt was exactly what I needed for my few nights stay. Layout, amenities, and comfort were all perfect. The parking was a little bit of a challenge, but considering the nice location it is understandable. Very much I would be happy to stay here again.

Great spot right down town and near great shops and restaurants.

Nice hotel. Small but very convenient. It is very close to all the main attractions and it is safe except for the building that is next to (probably it’s a place for homeless people), but besides that, great hotel to stay!

Oof this place was one of the worst, run down, sad hotels ive stayed in. To be fair, the cost reflects this mostly. But there were hairs in my towels, my pillow cases were stained, the entire bathroom was just damp, and the bed was AWFUL. The patrons were mostly trashy - there was a loud domestic dispute in the hallway at one point and the room next to me had been smoking as my bathroom was being flooded with the scent of weed coming through the vent. Spend a little more for something better - trust me!

Great location, cosy apartment with everything we needed for our stay!

The communication was amazing. When we arrived, the tourist information left in our apartment was really helpful. Additionally, we received an email when there was a special city event happening with links to the event page. The location of the accommodation was great - steps away from restaurants, stores, bus stops - you couldn't ask for more. We are definitely staying here again in our next trip (and you should too)!

The property was not as presented in the picture. very small area no sofa, there was no sitting area. Smaller than Hotel room and charges were same. Stayed 5 days and there was no service like Linen change or extra towel provided. Home less just camoing out side the Apt 24 hrs scary

Great spot in Reykjavik. This property is perfect for a pair of friends or a couple, especially if they plan on spending most of their time out and about. Beds were comfy; everything was clean; the space is both bright and cozy. Great fridge and access to coffee and coffee maker. The bathroom is not very shielded from the rest of the studio, so folks who are shy about their bathroom behavior might feel awkward.

Location and place were great, parking is tough

The communication to get inside was easy to follow and the location was great to access the town. The room amenities and comfort was spot on. Parking on the weekend was much more challenging that we anticipated as it seemed everyone wanted to party and get dinner in downtown. There was a parking deck two blocks away on the waterfront but we couldn't figure out how to pay (couldn't even figure out if we even needed to pay) so we drove around until we found a spot on the street a few blocks away. Restaurants were also very busy, so make a reservation days or weeks in advance if possible.

Great apartment/studio.We were upgraded to apt "one bedroom" since there were 4 people. very Clean and bright. Comfy beds. 2 minor issues: no closet space in "bedroom" and walker had sulfur smell. I am sure installing a water filter would resolve this issue. I have been to Reykjavik multiple times in hotels and never had this issue. Very close to main street in downtown area. A few minutes walk from Bus stop #10 and Helmur bus stop. Location 5 stars!! On quiet street. Highly recommend

Very happy with our stay here! The communication was excellent before we arrived. The studio was spotlessly clean and there were little touches that made it perfect such as a bag of ice in the freezer, washing up liquid, tea towels and shower gel. It was really quiet in the studio and the location was fantastic- right in the centre. Alfred’s studios is highly recommend and we will definitely stay again!

Nice studio with small kitchenette. Clean, modern look. Check in time could have on time. It can be difficult to bring your luggage up the stairs.

Great hosts great place

The only complaint I have is that we can't figure out how to get Icelandic TV stations. Otherwise -- this is our second stay here and we really love it.

Lovely hotel in a quiet street but right beside Piccadilly Circus station in a few minutes walk. Very central, clean, room was quite small but big enough for one night.

The apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. What else do you need? It is in the heart of city center so there was street noise. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

I could not have found better accommodations!

Alfred's Studios was all that I had hoped for and more! I enjoyed the location which is very near the water and major shops and restaurants. I liked having a mini kitchenette and it was mostly quiet and very private. The opportunity to store my luggage since I arrived early was a plus. In fact, my room was ready earlier than I had expected. Directions were clear on how to arrive and find my room. AND, it was affordable for the location and the modern accommodations. I would definitely recommend the experience of Alfred's Studios.

Charming in a great location

Loved spending our time in Reykjavik at Alfred’s Studios. Great location for activities, and a very well equipped and comfortable studio. The stairs are a bit steep but add to the charm.

We arrived early and had to quarantine until we received our covid test results. Alfred's allowed us to check in early, contactless, and we were able to take a much needed nap. This is the only place where ice was provided. A much needed luxury for American's. Good location for walking everywhere. It was nice to have a kitchenette also.

A lovely and cozy studio in the center of Reykjavík. Very quiet! Haness was very nice and prompt in helping with everything. We loved it and will go back there.

Awesome flat in a great location. The owner is very nice old man. The rooms are big and nicely decorated. It was very easy to check in and out.

Location was great, easy walking distance to the main sights. Great information in the room to support your stay, eg. grocery store locations, access to taxis, etc. That information would have been helpful to have had in advance of our arrival.

Great location and easy check-in. I have stayed there a few times and will hopefully have an opportunity to stay again! Excellent communication, and any issues resolved very fast.

We loved the location of Alfred's Studios, a few blocks off the sea. We stayed in the Family Studio on the second floor and had a nice amount of space; The apartment was very clean and tidy. We had everything we needed to cook dinner in our apartment, and there were two grocery stores in walking distance (Bonus is much cheaper compared to 10-11). We would love to stay at Alfred's Studios again in the future!

A Great Choice

It was a great location for us, it was clean, and had everything we needed. The shower door leaked and would flood the bathroom floor, but we learned how to work around it. The biggest disappointment was it was not ready in time, and ironically we needed an early check in because our flight from the US arrived early in the morning.

Can’t miss the cheery yellow building - great location near waterfront, main street shopping, parking garage. Our studio was sparkling clean, spacious and nicely equipped with kitchen, dining table and 2 comfy beds. Management was very helpful!

Very close to shopping and restaurants. Didn’t like that we were right next door to a homeless men’s shelter. The men hung outside the entry door and were loud. An ambulance picked someone up twice and the police came once.

Clean and well located

Our apartment was clean, and had most of the basic amenities (no shampoo or other little toiletries are provided). The kitchenette contained a small fridge, sink and two element stove top. There was a coffee maker and a slotted toaster. The place is nothing fancy and it's suitable for a short stay - there's not a lot of space to keep your luggage if it's larger, though there is a dresser and a small closet. The building is very well located, close to most of what downtown Reykjavik has to offer, so it's definitely convenient. There is something like a half-way house on the corner, down the street from the building where some drunkards seem to loiter, but they never bothered anyone, really. Just something to note. The bed was quite soft so if you prefer a firmer mattress, you may want to look elsewhere. Also good to note, if you end up on the third floor, you may have trouble with your luggage if it's larger and heavy - we inadvertently went up to the third floor, up a narrow, spiral staircase, and it was very difficult coming back down again with my large, 23kg roller luggage. If you're not strong enough to carry your luggage, or are unsteady on your feet make sure you are not in a third floor apartment, or at least have some help when you arrive and leave.

Great stay in Reykjavík

Alfred’s Studios was in the perfect location, just a block and a half from the Main Street. It was beautifully decorated, spotless, and modern. We loved it! Only spent a short time in the room because of the constant daylight, but will stay again if we come back to Reykjavík.

Great location, walking distance to shops & restaurants, very small rooms but clean. Even though the property owner/manager is not on site, he replied quickly to my emails. We stayed here 2 times during our vacation-one time on basement level and other time on 3rd floor, both times it was too hot and there was no way to adjust room temperature, no ceiling fans either. And windows only open partially at the very top so minimal circulation. There were 3 adults so we expected 3 beds or pull out sofas or a combination of the 2, we had 2 twin beds & 1 small pull our sofa which was so small that my sons legs were too long (he’s only 5’6”). And lastly, this location is next to a community housing/shelter of sorts so there were always folks loitering our front of the neighboring property which made it awkward at times. We witnessed a minor confrontation between 2 men next door and the police showed up immediately and diffused the situation

Perfect location and very accessible to everything we wanted to see and do

Lovely apartment. Everything like new. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, warm and cosy. Modern design with fantastic shower, very comfortable bed. Microwave oven, electric hob, fridge, kettle, toaster. Plenty of crockery/glasses/pans/utensils. All lovely and clean to use. Ideally situated right off the main st, within minutes to all the shops bars and restaurants, and less than 10 minute walk to bus stops. Would highly recommend, and definitely stay again.

The location it’s perfect and the beds are very confortable

Too small for 2 & luggage

The best thing I can say is that the location is great, or if traveling alone would also be great. But for anything 1+ you need a bigger space. There was literally no place to put our luggage. We were always stepping over either the luggage or having to move out of the way so the other could walk through the apartment. The available walking space was about 2 feet throughout. The balcony had such a drastic overhang that the view is severely limited. I'm also not sure if this is always the case but there was such a foul odor coming from bathroom we always had to keep that door shut. We were very uncomfortable staying there, but had no choice over New Year's.

Alfred Studios was very responsive. It was such a welcome surprise to find out we could check in early from our long international flight. The accommodations were very comfortable, studio was well appointed and functionally efficient. Great central location!

Cozy Studio with Amazing Location

Alfred Studios was perfect for our needs. A cozy studio apartment with an amazing location, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Clean and interior was completely new

The room was clean and quiet. What I didn't expect was the excellent location. We were able to easily walk to the Kex Hostel in order to take the airport bus, which is where it left us when we arrived, just around the corner and down the block. Also, for taking the tours, this was a great pickup location. We were very pleased and would stay there again.

Great Apartments

Great little apartments in the heart of Reykjavík - clean, comfortable place within walking distance of just about everywhere you want to go.

It was located next to homeless shelter and sometimes there was late nite noise and shouting/fighting going on. Still, it was a safe neighbourhood. Really liked that it was so centrally located and could walk to many attractions in Reykjavik and surrounding area.

The good things: The location is great. Central Reykjavik location, close to most sights and restaurants, and very walkable. The apartment was clean and tidy. There is a nice kitchen. Laundry facilities are located in the basement and are fine. No charge for laundry. Questions were promptly handled by the owner. Needs to improve: No TV in bedroom area, the building is adjacent to a homeless shelter and can get noisy in the middle of the night with yelling from the adjacent building and from people milling around outside, parking can be an issue and the cost is about 170-190 krona per hour M-F from 9:00-16:00, property does not accept AMEX credit cards.

Nice place, only real complaint was the shower could use a mat inside because it was awfully slippery. Could be dangerous

Holiday Time

Overall it's ok, a bit hot inside room as Iceland don't have air-condition.

my room key open did not work well. I spent 2-3mins to enter my room. I reccommend it should change with new one for next customer.
