Breakfast is pretty good
Solid choice for a stay in Florence!
Great location, close to the train station and near sites. Clean and quiet (in spite of busy street and construction outside). Elevator, which is important for those with mobility issues. Friendly staff.
Walking distance was close for all major mounuments. Very good area resturants. Close to train station and local markets.
Nice hotel located at a 20-30’ walking distance to main Florence’s main attractions. Also, 5’ walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station (important if travelling with large bags). Good breakfast options with friendly staff.
Walls of rooms extremely thin - I could hear the ppl in the next room talking - which made me very aware of trying not to make noise Very prompt reply to my complaint of water being cold. And to be fair - it just needed to run for longer - but literally someone was up to my room in less than 10 minutes- very impressed with that. Everyone friendly and helpful. Travelled solo and felt very safe
Very clean hotel/room in good condition. Room and breakfast were excellent. Conveniently located to train station, sites and conveniences. Friendly and helpful staff. Best hotel of trip to Italy.
Easy to walk to many attractions.
The staff are very friendly. The breakfast and lobby are nice. There is a free happy hour drink in the lobby lounge. The location is great. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was very comfortable, the breakfast was great, lots if options and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
A great find
A small but great room. It was clean and the bed was comfy. I will be back
Staff were very helpful and the hotel is located in a very central and walkable area. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Great hotel stay overall.
Small balcony/patios overlooking the breakfast area was nice
Very good location. Close to train station and all the attractions. Clean and comfortable bedding. Nice experience
Great central location for seeing the sights of Florence and walking to the train station! The rooms were nice and well maintained.
Excellent
Terrific accomodation close to the train station, including excellent buffet breakfast and expansive, picturesque Italian-style lodging. Great value and I would certainly stay here again!
Overall no problem except having mosquitos in the room. Also there was little smell in the room. Maybe due to old building. It wasn’t too bad. It’s convenient location though and breakfast included.
Friendly staff, spacious quad, great happy hour and variety for breakfast. Great value in walking distance to train highly recommend
Good Location with shopping within walking distance. We had three people in our group so we rented the room that had a second bedroom in the loft. It worked out great! The bathroom was large which also helped. Good value for the money. We would stay here again.
Great stay - the breakfast was delicious, room was comfortable, internet was quick. No complaints! Location was very convenient.
Location was great…staff was very nice…breakfast was delicious.
Great for a city stay
We LOVED our stay in the Alba Hotel. It's only 5 mins from the railway station and 10 mins from all the attractions etc. There is a square real close with loads of bars and restaurants in but the hotel is quiet. Also a supermarket. The room was nice, the bathroom small but more that adequate for a 4 night city break.
It was a good experience
Everyone working at the Alba Hotel was very nice. Not a five star hotel but top in its class. Location to train station walkable and perfect. Close walk to Duomo, etc. We would recommend
loved staying here. Absolutely loved the breakfast too!
Great hotel
Excellent hotel. All staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean. It was a 5 minute walk from the train station and a 15 minute walk to the main tourist sights. The breakfast had a good choice. The area around the hotel was good with restaurants very close by.
The elevator / loft was out of service and we were on the top floor
.
As advertized, good small hotel, centrally located with good staff, clean rooms and good breakfast.
I have always been treated extremely well here. Love the staff too!
Muy Buen desayuno. Habitación familiar amplia. Buena atención. Buena cama. Buena limpieza.
Clean, safe, and convenient. Staff was super friendly and helpful at all times. Quiet at nights if you keep the window closed. Breakfast was good and the staff at the breakfast area are incredibly nice. Sad we missed the sign about free happy hour drink every day. Will definetly stay again. Grazie!
Breakfast was AMAZING! Very nice room with comfortable beds and pillows.
A lovely charming European hotel, close to every site and convenient to train station and airport. Perfect place to sleep get a solid breakfast and head out and enjoy Firenze!!!
Great stay, clean and very friendly staff!! we’ll be back.
Wonderful staff--helpful and nice. Great location.
Close to restaurants. Convenient to train station.
Charming boutique. Close to everything.
Staff was not very friendly or helpful for dinner suggestions or for making reservations.
N
So close to the train and to walk to the major sites in Florence. For happy hour, which was an amazing and. Nice surprise, but the person manning the bar was not happy. Someone should not be afraid to talk to guests and interact.
Very spacious, lots of room for the luggage’s and anything a traveler/family would need. The Balcony was a really nice bonus. The free happy hour and the breakfast included also made this stay more amazing. Really close to the Train station and most of the attractions. Overall, an excellent place for the price as well.
It was fine. The room had a very strong perfume smell.
Tranquilo y limpio.
, lo necesario, desayuno variado, limpio, cerca a la estaxion del tren , buena atencion sobretodo de una sra peruana del conedor muy buena y agradable.
Great staff, excellent location, great free breakfast
Very Tuscany in very way. We were tickled with the thought that the hotel represented Florence itself. It’s not an upscale hotel with modern amenities but it’s a hotel with personalized service and wonderful decorations representing Tuscany….
We really loved the unique design of the hotel with a loft bedroom for the kids and a huge jetted bath tub. The location is very close to the train station and walkable to all of the nearby museums, restaurants and shopping. Complimentary breakfast was also a nice amenity though our flight was early and we didn’t get to enjoy it. The only negative is the air conditioning didn’t keep the room as cool as it should. We woke up a little uncomfortable. Highly recommend overall.
We loved this hotel, it far exceeded our expectations. Our room was stunning, the hotel in general was beautiful, and the location was perfect (only 4 minutes walk to the train station, 10 minutes to the duomo or the bridges)
Great hotel in convenient location - easy walk to train, market and sites. Room was very cool - spiral stair to 2nd level for kiddos and brick dome ceiling! Such a great change from the normal hotel room box. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Very accommodating staff, left luggage for an overnight trip and they were totally cool with it. Also slept through a wake-up call & they knocked on my door to make sure I was up!!! Great location & breakfast - Great Spot in Florence!!!
2nd time staying here and love the location & staff is very accommodating!!! Room was bigger than expected, breakfast/food was great - Great Trip!!!
Great Location
We really liked the Alba Palace Hotel. It's in a great location, clean, and the breakfast was good. The front desk people could of been nicer, but would definitely stay again.
Wonderful stay at Florence.
Very nice place to stay. Full breakfast was very nice and tasty. Stuff was friendly and always helpful. Walking distance to the rail station and very close to the city historic center. Highly recommended.
Amazing
Amazing hotel , great location close to the train station
It was a nice room. The part of town wasn’t the greatest.
The employees were nice and the hotel was clean. The room was hot and the hotel doesn't let you use the air conditioning during cold months so we had the window open and got eaten mlby mosquitoes.
very nice
I think the hotel is a great place to stay in Florence because of its cleanliness, its staff, and morning breakfasts, etc., etc. The front desk people go out of their way for you too. I feel at home there.
Great location! Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful hotel with a lovely breakfast!
Best family room ever!!!
We loved the family room! Very clean, very friendly and great morning coffee!!! Thank you for a Florence authentic hospitality!!!
The location and the room were excellent
The hotel is to the south of the railway station: Firenze Santa Maria Novella 5 minutes’ walk. This is a very interesting hotel with excellent interior design. The air conditioner works perfectly. The complimentary breakfast is simple but elegant, very impressive. The dinning room looks quite pretty as if you were in a peaceful countryside. Each time you exit the hotel you must leave your room key to the front desk. This makes you think you didn’t live in a digital world. This feeling prepares you to get ready to explore an old town now.
If arriving by train, it is walking distance from the train station (literally right around the corner). The staff is exceptional. Although breakfast begins at 7:30, we were encouraged to come down before leaving on our day trips. Breakfast was ready, and we were encouraged to sit down and eat when we came down at 6:45.
Wonderful boutique hotel. Our romm was fantastico. Very large bathroom, n second storey loft with access to terrace.
The location was good, breakfast was great and room was spacious.
Florence great location hotel
Wonderful location in the historic centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast choices. Very clean and lovely property and rooms.
A very nice monastery turned into hotel. Very close to everything. Walls are not soundproof. Very nice European breakfast. Loved it!
Enjoyed breakfast and staff and facilities were nice.
Hotel was as advertised. Very nice staff, room was nice just the mini fridgedid not cool.
Nice hotel
Nice ambiance. The staff super friendly. Beds were like cement blocks, which for some might be good. For me, too hard. Otherwise I enjoyed the stay.
Trip to Florence
Great little 3 star hotel. Basic clean rooms, breakfast was good, all cold food but plenty of it. Handy for walking into town to see The Duomo and The Ponte Vecchio.
Hotel has very bad smell from the sewer and the walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbors pee.
Everything they do is to accommodate their customers' wants and needs. Cleanliness is of the utmost importance, and I happen to think there is no finer person at the front desk than Verena!
Excellent staff, easy check in and check out process.
Very clean with friendly staff. Convieniently located by the train station. Wonderful breakfast every morning. Would definitely stay again.
Great Stay
Hotel is close to train/bus station. Situated in city center, it’s in walking distance to everything. If you’re not a Walker, plenty of transit stops, taxis, bikes and scooters around. Staff is at least bi lingual (Italian and English). Breakfast is continental style, but decent choices and you can order coffee on demand while dining. Lovely lady running the breakfast area. AC in hotel works great and isn’t overly loud. Highly recommend
Very Impressive Small Hotel
Very impressed by the staff and management of this small hotel. Very centrally located within walking distance to major sights. Very clean. Thoughtful. Highly recommended.
Very Clean, central but quiet -very nice breakfast. If you like firm beds you will sleep well
Excelente
Muy buen desayuno siempre hay gente en la recepción te ayudan en todo
We greatly enjoyed the breakfast at the Alba Palace. We also enjoyed the afternoon and evening snacks And coffee service that was available. The room was clean and comfortable and close to all the sites in Florence. The hotel is a short walk from the train station as well.
Great Hotel, Great Location
The hotel is conveniently situated near the train station and within walking distance to almost all tourist destination. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The room is on the smaller side but comfortable nonetheless. Breakfast has wide selection and they were well topped up. Overall, a great hotel in a great location. We had a pleasant and stress-less stay with our toddler. Well recommended!
Good location , dated hotel .
Think this is the smallest double room I have ever stayed in . The showeroom wasn’t big enough to dry yourself in . The decor in the room is rather drab , no water in the fridge and old fashioned blanket on the bed , I needed another as it was cold but they didn’t have any spare . The staff were lovely , the location was excellent but my room was very disappointing .
We stayed December 10 to 20th. Excellent service from a very friendly staff. More-than-adequate breakfast. They'll even make you a capucchino if you want one! Guicy took care of us in the breakfast room. Lovely lady. Rooms were extremely clean. They even mopped the tile floors daily. Front desk was helpful in giving us directions. I consider this hotel an extremely good value. A+++
I liked the constant availability of refreshments in the lobby area. There was always a selection of sweet and savory snacks and hot or cold drinks. I didn't like the crockery, namely the mugs and cups. The mugs had no handles and so it was difficult to handle when hot. The cups were too small and too wide at the top, cooling the contents too rapidly.
Homey and casual
Amazing location just a few minutes walk from downtown. The rooms are no frills but clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic.
Everything was awesome about this property except for no air conditioning. Had to open windows and it was really noisy during the night. Pillows could use some updating. They were flat and hard. Breakfast was great and location was great. Staff was great! Only a few minutes to the train station.
It was great
The hotel is walkable from Firenze SM, SM Novella Church and Duomo. The staff were accommodating. Housekeeping was top-knotch. The only issue was the air conditioning wasn’t working so we had to leave the window open throughout the night where there was nonstop noise from the street below.
Find a Better Place to Stay in Florence.
The room and furniture including beds are from early 1950's. The room had a very strong odor and only one window (terrace door that you can not keep open) for fresh air on the second floor. The room was clean and teh day staff was great. Breakfast was the best part. The front desk person during the night time was rude. For any question his answer was no. For the money charged, you can surely find a better hotel.
Very good hotel
Good hotel and good location
I was travelling alone and was thrilled to find a great hotel in the heart of Florence that was affordable, adorable and
Fantastic weekend away🇮🇹👍
Lovely hotel fantastic location nice breakfast quick check in 😊👍🇮🇹superb long weekend
Convenient location and proximity to public transport and tourist spots
A nice practical choicep
Very convenient for train and sights. Everything works.
Absolutely loved the central position of this hotel which meant all places of interest were within walking distance. The endless breakfast was fabulous with an extremely wide and varied choice of food. The free snacks and soft drinks that were available in the lounge throughout the day were an added bonus especially when you returned from a day out sightseeing. The hotel was nicely presented with a lovely breakfast room and was decorated throughout in a Florentine style. There were some great restaurants nearby and the gelato on the corner of the Santa Maria novella square was a must each day. We will definitely be returning.
This is a charming place and charmingly decorated. The breakfast room is especially lovely, a kind of atrium. There is not much storage at all for your toiletries in the bathroom. Could use some shelves or more counter space.
Terrible hotel room.
There was a foul stench in my room that I wasn’t able to sleep at all. I brought it up to the front desk late at night because I couldn’t sleep and I asked if I can be moved to another room. I was asked why I didn’t tell them when I first entered the room. I said that I thought it was only temporary and that the smell will go away because I still had to go out and see the city. I didn’t want to go through the trouble of moving to another room. The smell of dead rat just intensified as I was lying in bed trying to sleep. It just slightly faded away when I opened the windows wide but I still couldn’t sleep because I could hear the street noise. When they moved me to a different room the next day, the room was so tiny. The bed was the size of a toddler bed and I could barely move inside the teeny-tiny bathroom.
Property was convenient to train station. Unfortunately, construction is being done on nearby buildings so sidewalk is not usable, will have to cross the street to be safe. Otherwise, very nice and delicious breakfast!
Spacious yellow/lemon themed hotel room
Pros: • Large elevator • Room and washroom are spacious • Very clean - they clean your room everyday • Area is pretty quiet and conveniently located • TV had some international channels • In-room A/C that you can adjust • Large variety of food available for breakfast Cons: • My room was located in front of the staircase, so it was a bit noisy • Uncomfortable pillows and bed • Strict on their check in time (did not allow early check in but they have luggage storage in individual lockers)
Amazing hotel!
Located very close to the train station, this hotel is incredibly convenient. The breakfast is delicious and the hotel has a great ambiance. I learned that the building dates back to the 1700s, which adds a unique charm. The front desk staff is excellent, and I couldn’t be happier with my stay!
