Great location; close to the River Walk, The Alamodome and the Convention Center. Bed slept good. Shower was good. Room was newly renovated. No elevator, stairs needed a shampoo. Room wasn’t spotless but it wasn’t horrible either. We would definitely consider staying again

There was only one wash cloth. There were no cups nor was there a coffee maker in the room. There were two small pillows. There was no basic television to watch. The gentleman who checked us in was nice and fixed the locking mechanism on the door as soon as I mentioned the problem to him.

Area is not close to Riverwalk Downton. It’s a two mile walk through sketchy neighborhoods. This is a motel where you might be worried for your car let alone yourself. The staff are friendly and try but overall maintenance is poor. Room had broken toilet roll holder and room ac that smelt bad. Breakfast was not even bare bones, it was a sun bleached skull: white bread toast but no jam or peanut butter. No fruit. No yogurt. Two cereal choices. Only plain milk. Coffee that was weak even by Texas standards. Waffle maker was saving grace.

The new section was nice, but could use some more cleaning. Counters and doors were dusty/ dirty with finger prints before we got to room and shower needs scrubbing and shower curtain had stains. Aside from that, Rick was very nice

You can tell they are renovating this motel, so it will be better once completed. Didn’t mind it but a few things missing from the rooms still. They were affordable and a decent bed.

It's close to downtown and frost bank. Manager Ricy is a good guy.

The room was pretty good no complaints there, the area around is a little scary but it is conveniently located close to downtown and the frost bank center for the seventeen concert I went to, overall pretty good and not the properties fault for the area it’s in!

Blood stained beds & pest infestations

One of our rooms was seemingly nice but had a silverfish infestation, while the other one was COMPLETELY unacceptable. We were given a bed for my daughter with a blood stain in the middle of it, my parent's room was in a complete state of disrepair with poorly patched holes all over the walls, the walls were DIRTY, the fridge was filled with black mold, and there were random pipes jutting loosely out of the walls that were haphazardly duct taped. The front desk man (older) was rude when I checked in, but it was late so maybe he was tired. Neither of our rooms were cleaned the entire duration of our stay, none of the trash was taken, none of the beds were fixed, towels were not replaced, and neither was the toilet paper. Additionally, one afternoon when we returned to our room it reeked of soiled bedding like that from a pet mouse or rabbit.

Will never stay here again

Our room was big but that's about the only positive. The room was obviously in the middle of a remodel. The bathroom fan and air conditioner were so loud that they kept us awake. The roll out cot, which thankfully we didn't need was disgusting! The headboard were not much better, the door lock on the top didn't work properly, it lifted the door trim when you tried to unlock it so we just used the deadbolt. We had to go ask for TP on the 2nd night, and the place has silverfish.. not sure why i can't post pics but they will be in a google review

I liked that it was easy to book. I did not like the amount of dust in the newly renovated rooms. Overall it was just ok.

It is not really as advertised. It's not close to the river walk as the name suggested. There were very little amenities at all, such as no ice at all, and only one vending machine with limited choices. The towels were still wet from laundry and the bed was not very comfortable.

the pictures in the photo are not the primary hotel. You will be directed to go to the other hotel. When we went into the room had hair on a towel. looked at the bed and had hair there too. Told the front desk person and he moved us to another room, where the pillows were dirty. While moving to the other room we saw the front desk person just make up the bed where we had stated that there was hair in the bed. I say STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE....

Stay away

Dirty. Near graveyard and railroad tracks. Calling it riverwalk area is false advertisement. $100 deposit required. Price on Hotels.com was $88 but Hotel charged $97. Bed had no box springs. Very uncomfortable. Just a dump with semi fresh paint.

Great option, safe, renovated rooms, extremely cleaned, very spacious room, very professional staff. Definitely a,place to choose again!

The location is convenient, 1.5 miles from the river walk I literally walked there, it’s about 15-20 minutes from Lackland Air base , not far from the highway however the surrounding area isn’t much to talk about , there are a few restaurants but there’s a huge cemetery directly across from the hotel The staff was great , front desk and cleaning crew very polite and welcoming The room itself was very spacious and clean , fresh wash rags , towels and linen, there wasn’t cable but there was a smart TV in the room which had both airplay and casting so i was able to stream from my iPad to the TV All in all it was a decent stay, good value ( like the name) for the pricing The hotel has ample parking with 2 EV chargers

This motel was very clean it was a nice stay I will be coming back again when I visit San Antonio.

The sheets from the bed looked dirty & restrooms looked they were under construction. Plus we went to get breakfast early morning & the waffle mix was not good & the milk for the cereal was expired.

I stayed in the building with two floors. I felt more safe there than the motel-looking rooms attached to the office. I only had to pay $15 extra for the change.

I understood renovations were underway, but the bathroom door could not close shut, we couldn't get cold water from the faucet in sink & it took the 3rd night to get warmer water in shower. The shower floor was a bit too smooth & slippery with no handles to hold on, & no shelves to place our items in shower. The curtain did not hold water within shower. A few minor cleaning issues that were not a big issue. I appreciated the extras like the frig/freezer, but missed not having ice. Bed was a bit hard from my liking, but was exceptionally clean. Overall, the place was quiet, clean, new, & room very spacious. I chose it for the price and location near downtown Riverwalk & convention. Service personnel were all great; made me feel welcomed. I would stay there again.

Clean and nice but unsafe neighborhood

They have 2 different buildings I stayed on the newest building but they always have the A/C units off the rooms are extremely hot when you first get there , and the hallway is always hot they never have the A/C on. Also they need to clean a bit better the tub are really dirty .

TV only operational with your own login, no use to overseas visitors, so couldn't use. Tepid water temp for shower, microwave broken, wires visible in ceiling, no soap, no tissues, no bedside lamp, bags of building waste outside of room. Breakfast was coffee, cereal, toast or waffles with melted butter & almost empty bottle of maple syrup only. We liked the very modern mirror in room & A/C. Motel was run on a very tight budget with no finish.

The room was not cleaned properly, you could see the crumbs on the counter tops from the previous guest which was not good.

Motel had recently been remodeled which was great. We did find a big on the bed tho, appeared to be a cockroach tho a small one. Could have been a little cleaner.

Family trip

Room was warm even with the AC turned down. Bathroom was very hot. Had to leave the door open for air flow. Room was spacious, and clean. Had soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower but they were empty. Shower had water all over the floor.

The property was average for the price, but based on photos it makes you think the rooms are single rooms that you can drive up, but they are not. There is also a building with rooms. Property is under construction and in a not so nice area, but I’m sure when the property is finished it will be nice within the inside area of the hotel.

Solid for one night

This is a solid one night stay. Me and my girlfriend came to San Antonio for a concert and we weren’t looking for anything too expensive but also nothing too cheap or rundown. And this place was that exactly, it’s not extravagant but it’s SOLID for one night or two. The one king bedroom is nice and spacious, the restroom is simple with a walk in shower and sliding curtains, restroom has no AC so make sure when you leave the room that you let the bedroom AC run on the coldest setting. And make sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and body wash, they only provide shampoo,body wash. And the are is about a 5 minute drive from Downtown. Overall, it was solid!

Mold in ceiling rm 102 and shower curtain was covered in mold. Walls had blood splatter. In some areas. Chocolates and chewed flower seeds on floor. Pics were taken but nowhere to submit. Manager allowed full reimbursement through Expedia for following day as we were suppose stay 2 days. Reviews had an 8.2 rating. Not the case in my opinion.

I tried to call the hotel for hours and hours and they NEVER answered and the phone would just hang up after a while! Even after contacting Expedia for help they didn't help us either. When we showed up the guy at the front desk was just sitting there doing nothing, so why he couldn't answer the phone for the previous 10hrs that we were trying to call is beyond me. After seeing the property located in the middle of what seemed like "the mecca for the homeless" and looking at the property I can honestly say I was catfished. The images you see online are nothing like the actual property and we had to just call it a loss (as we had already paid) and booked another hotel. Will never stay there and definitely don't recommend.

The layout of the room was great very open and clean. The front desk clerk was a little cold but it was also 1am. There was a homeless man rummaging through the dumpster. The room I was in had no phone to call the office . No Wi-Fi info in the room.

We had an awesome time at this hotel

I gave a $100 for a deposit that wasn’t announced before getting the room and I only had $70 back I’m sure we didn’t leave anything wrong in the room, I cleaned before I left, and the bathtub was dirty on the edges! For the price that I ended up paying I would just get the second place that I had on mind! Thanks!!!

After searching for hotels in San Antonio I never thought I would find one that did not have horrible reviews of bed bugs, roaches and scary surroundings. I was pleasantly surprised that this modest hotel was extremely clean. The staff were very friendly and even made some great recommendations for our trip. I would highly recommend people to stay here.

Regret staying there. There was no phone in the room so if I needed something I had to walk to the office. Not enough towels in the room. Went to the office to request more clerk said he didn’t have any ran out of toilet paper clerk said he didn’t have any sink was clogged clerk said he couldn’t do anything about it. Clerk gave me the impression that I was really bothering him.

Everything was great. The front desk clerk was very nice until the morning time around 10:30. The room service was banging on my door and tried to bust in even when I had the do not disturb placard on the door knob?!

the front desk staff was very nice and considerate but I was placed in a dirty room, I was too anxious to sleep. The energy here is so off. Y’all please hire a medium to cleanse this place. I ended up only staying for 9 hours but it’s just good enough for travelers who just want to make a quick stop

Unexpectedly great due to: 1. They greet you with a text message so that you can communicate with them that way 2. They have EV chargers! Tesla but they worked with the Polestar 2 rental. 3. Coffee and basic pastry, toast, cereal to tie you over

Exceeded my expectations

We came for a one-night stay for a concert and everything exceeded my expectations! The room was neat and clean, the large bed was comfortable, there was a mini fridge and microwave, large TV, and conveniently located near restaurants, HEB, and Frost Bank Center. Rick provided us exceptional customer service, not just with a speedy check-in but also talking to us about the concert and giving us recommendations for other things to do in town. The only issue I had was that the restroom door didn't close, but that's an easy fix and Rick kindly responded to that issue during check out. We stayed in the newer building, so I can't say much for the other building next to it. I also very much appreciated the key card to enter the building, particularly for security reasons. All in all, I highly recommend this place, especially for the price.

Simple, functional and clean, all you really need

Thankfully the place was well clean, first of all. I can always appreciate a well cleaned place. And it did it's job well as a place to lay your head to rest while you explore San Antonio and anything else nearby. My only main take aways would be the smell of the room was like a odd, humid almost musty kinda smell. Also there was a lot of noise when I tried to sleep, but I'll just assume it was the other tenants doing their thing that night. Other than that, I would come back to stay whenever I need a simple room to stay a night or two.

The best kept secret in San Antonio! After a long day of travel and hot weather, we arrived early to the hotel, simply to cool off. Knowing we were two hours early before check-in we were hoping just to chill out in the lobby/office. Enter Rick, manager to the rescue. He radioed his staff to see if there were any rooms that had been cleaned already. He was able to check us in two hours early and we were able to relax and cool off for our evening events. Great customer service and hospitality.

Pretty good place for the price, compared to a lot of places with the same price this is one of the best options. Not sure who I talked to at the front desk but he was super friendly and welcoming, cannot say the same about his temporary substitution in the morning who came off as very rude for simply looking for breakfast at the wrong time, but that's just how old people are I guess. I wouldn't say the place was dirty but not totally clean either, there were some obvious stains, fortunately not on the bed sheets or pillows, also didn't see any bugs which is sadly a high standard nowadays so props to the cleaning team and manager. After all pretty good place and would recommend.
