Location opposite the main wharf and outside sitting to enjoy the weather and views. Unit was showing a few end of season paint chips, which can be easily rectified during quiet season.
Great location
Quiet and was not harassed by the hotel staff
Great stay and great location
Absolutely loved the location, and the apartment we stayed in was incredible - The Turret has incredible views of Akaroa harbour. We will come and stay again, thank you.
Great location, clean and tidy. Plenty of space for family of 4
Good location. Could walk easily from here. The unit itself is quite dated and could do with a refresh. We were in a ground level unit and could hear the people above walking around.
Fabulous place to stay, absolutely loved it!
Wheelie bins overflowing Good stay overall
Wonderful stay at the Akaroa Village Inn, very accommodating, clean and pleasant!
Great view of the harbor. Right beside various restaurants. Short stroll to supermarket.
We loved our Large Unit. Everything we needed was there. The Unit was a bit tired, but we didnt mind that. Thanks.
Wonderful location.
Excellent
I like the location, safety and kindness of the personnel. I don’t like the noisy washing machine, specially at night and early morning, very disturbing. The swimming pool is not ready to use, we are expecting to use it for my kids. Do not includes in the description if its not ready to use. Internet connection is poor.
lovely and close to everything
Disappointing but comfortable
Kind of disappointed with this stay which we were looking forward to. The unit was OK - a little tired and in need of a refresh but comfortable. It was just the little things - instant coffee and 1 tea selection - we were not there for the café but seriously a plunger and a pack of grind won't cost you a lot and would be appreciated. No tissues, no spare toilet paper - We don't like to complain but this is just a bit of a poor look for tourists to New Zealand. You can do better and at the rates charged per night we kind of expect better.
Superb accommodation but no heating in bathroom.
Excellent property and manager Daryl just so lovely, We wouldn't stay anywhere else. Room was amazing with great views. Thanks
The accommodation was in a great position. We were disappointed with the cleaning. Cups in the cupboard were dirty, the bin wasn’t empty , the carpet was ripped and a leg on the heater was broken.
Nice enough location, but the building and appointments are well overdue for refreshing. Bed and room smelled of old cigarette smoke and stale air. Noise from nearby rooms was excessive. Furniture was cheap. Akaroa is such a lovely town it deserves a better presentation.
nice spot
The location is perfect, clean, very comfy bed, staff was great… very helpful. Would stay here again.
An alright location near the Main Wharf. Large rooms with great views, makes for a nice getaway. It's close to the lighthouse. It seems to be an easy ten or fifteen-minute walk from the grocery store. One drawback: the cable TV in the room seemed to be an older model or system, not set up for streaming services.
Dated property, but on a nice central location. Very friendly staff.
Akaroa Village Inn
Cannot get a better location. On the waterfront and right in town. Our apartment was very comfortable, and we were very happy with it. A bit noisy in the morning when trying to sleep in but we were in the middle of it all. The downside was an extra separate fee to use the pool, and no washer in the unit, but, did have a coin laundry onsite.
Great Property. Views were spectacular. Would return anytime with confidence. Perfect Location and Staff was friendly and responsive. Right on entrance to the wharf. Morgan's restaurant has moved to food cart on the wharf but easily the BEST fish and chips in town...
So lovely and quiet, fabulous view.
Very noice apartment in great location of very nice town. 3 interactions with reception staff and all were exceptionally good.
Great help when I found out the booking was cancelled. They found us other accommodation in Akaroa.
I loved everything about the property, well maintained, clean and quiet. Spacious rooms and dining area.
We booked into the unit overlooking the water and wow; spectacular view and unit. Huge apartment with fabulously comfortable bed and huge bathroom with a spa tub. Loved it. Will definitely stay again if ever in Akaroa again
Very comfortable stay. Great view from the room straight down the main wharf. Amazing spa bath and cozy king size bed made for a memorable stay. We will be back.
Fabulous spot. The villa could do with a spruce up. Gardner would help tidy things up. Pool has seen much better days
enjoyed stay.
Loved the size of our apartment and the central position in Akaroa. Manager and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would stay again
The location is great.
Lovely room with great views and shops and cafes close by
Perfect location with amazing views
Great family unit
The weather was simply stunning, which makes any stay great. We stayed in the 3 bedroom family unit and this was perfect for our group. Large balcony and comfy old sofas on the deck to lounge on in the sun, Large space and good set up for a group of adults with 1 full bathroom, separate toilet and separate shower. Unit was a bit tired, but that didn't bother us and the pool was a lovely bonus in the heat
Our accommodation had lots of space, amazing water views, it was very clean and the car park was right next to the staircase leading up to our room. We enjoyed sitting on the very spacious balcony.
Comfort plus
We had a very comfortable stay. Beds/Bedding were clean and we all slept extremely well. Living area and kitchen were great. Dishwasher was out of order, door handle in 2nd bedroom fell off everytime it was touched and the window latch in the bathroom with the shower did not work. But these things can easily be fixed and we would stay again.
We were looking forward to staying here with its great location, however I would not have called this room a Deluxe. The Queen Bed was most likely a double size and quite uncomfortable. The bathroom after using was a swimming pool as there is no air ventilation (apart from opening window), hence walls dripping with water which also ran out of hot water. Also had dirty cups (which presumably was the last tenants cleaning! Location was great, but overall for a Deluxe apartment I felt it was rather tired and things like using electricians tape to tie cords etc together made it look very average!!
it was a gt place with shops close by , view of the waterfront , it was also good with my wife being in a wheelchair
In a lovely position on waterfront. Very clean, quite dated decor and awful verticle blinds that didn't seem to suit property. Bed comfy but far too big for room.
Very comfortable unit, good location near restaurants etc
All was good on a very cold night!
Village Inn
Very knowledgeable hosts made the experience much more enjoyable!
Very close to the whalf And shops a very pleasant stay.

Very roomy and comfortable. Had to chase up some milk and didn’t get an apology.
