We had only a one night stay after our flight. The room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities. The manager was kind and went above and beyond to be helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was everything we could have needed included. The outside property was very tidy as well. We will stay there again, and recommend Airport Palms in CHC.

This is an excellent hotel to use by the airport. Time from hotel room to Rental Car Park was 5 minutes! The unit had a separate living room and kitchenette. The staff was very helpful. It was also great to be able to park right outside our room since we had to pack up everything from the car after five weeks on South Island.

This unassuming motel was very well kept by a conscientious owner/manager. The airport pickup was prompt. Our unit was modern, well decorated, immaculate, with a nice kitchenette and a bedroom with a door. Way exceeded my expectation for an airport motel. There was even an onsite laundry room, which the manager kept open for longer just for me. Very accommodating. I highly recommend this motel.

Room was really good - well stocked, clean and new. Close to the airport and they provided a personal shuttle service for free. Worked out well for us as we were flying the next day.

Surprisingly wonderful

We were expecting a basic no frills airport hotel to get an early morning flight but instead found a really nice cozy room with an electric blanket on a very comfortable bed and even a few complimentary snacks that made our stay !

Airport-convenient hotel for a good nights sleep.

Airport hotels are always a gamble - but this one paid off. It was clean and comfortable and had very friendly and helpful staff. An airport shuttle is always helpful (although it doesn't run all night). However, the driver did drop us off at the off-airport car rental location directly in the morning, which was extremely helpful!

I've stayed here several times. So my review is my continued business. They do offer free airport shuttle from 8 AM to 8PM. The motel is also located near some key bus stops for getting into around town, if one wants the public transportation option. And the management keeps things running smooth and clean. No complaints, and never any unpleasant surprises.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Airport Palms. We were able to add an extra night when bad weather meant we had to change our plans and they ran us to the airport even though it was earlier than they would usually start

What a spotless and convenient motel. Best value for money. So happy I stayed here instead of the motels closer to the airport that cost twice as much. The owners were wonderful and took me to the supermarket after my flight was cancelled and I needed toiletries etc. My room was spotless with a great spa bath. They also have an airport shuttle. Amazing. I’ll definitely book again and recommend this motel to my colleagues and whānau. Thank you.

Close to all the shops and well located. Room was nice and big and the place was pretty quiet.

Can’t say enough about the service. Owner went above and beyond helping us out. Highly recommend. It was a perfect finish after a 6 week vacation.

Friendly staff, absolutely spotless rooms- I thought that the motel was brand- new, though it is 12 years old! The receptionist said that the same staff have been present since day 1, so that is why they take such good care of the place. ( Says a lot for the managers‘ employee relations too.) I‘ve visited Christchurch many times and usually stayed at the motel across the road; I can’t believe I haven’t tried this one before , and definitely will stay here in future. Large rooms, good shower water pressure, and everything in the room works! It is convenient to the airport- only 5 minutes drive, which is handy also for collecting and returning rental cars. Parking outside the rooms. Surrounding suburban area for walks etc, park about 200 metres away with exercise equipment. Buses to the city run from a stop about 150 metres away. There is a motel shuttle bus to the airport- as I was catching a 6am flight, it wasn’t operating yet, but the receptionist booked me a cab, which turned up on time,with no problems. Dining options are microwave in the room, motel restaurant across the road ( limited menu options), or there are a few restaurants in a shopping centre just before the airport.

We are glad we booked the Airport Palms Motel for our short stay in Christchurch. Friendly welcome, easy check in, lovely unit, clean and well equipped. Received prompt attention to a small problem with the television. Would certainly recommend. But be aware, they are popular so book early!!

Airport Palms Motel exceeded my expectations in every way! We booked a two-bedroom suite and the rooms were clean, the bathroom was large and well equipped, and the kitchen was far better stocked than anticipated. I wish we would have stayed for longer!

Great accommodations close to the Christchurch airport. The people that own this hotel are very personable and go out of their way to ensure your stay goes well. Clean, quiet and enough space for the night, we really enjoyed it.

Adequate overnight stay

Our stay at Airport Palms was a very nice beginning to our visit to New Zealand. We had a one bedroom suite which was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The owners are super nice, friendly, and helpful!

Staff helpful and organised taxi for me to airport at 3.30am and the room was beautifully organised with everything needed.

Excellent motel close to airport.

Had a late check-in so was unable to get airport transfer. Took the metro bus for $2.10 and got off at the third bus stop and then walking 5 minute to hotel. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Stored bags for the day while doing siteseeing. There is a restaurant a block away or if you walk about 10 minutes there are a number of restaurants.

I assume this is a family owned business because they treated us like their future depended on it. I was impressed enough to take the time to write a review.

Nice room and accommodation. Staff was very friendly. Clean and comfortable. Coffee was lacking with just one packet for the plunger and not good coffee…gotta have morning coffee. Instead we had to wait until a cafe opened to get coffee which puts a wrinkle in your daily plans.

This was our second stay at Airport Palms, (our stays bookended our motorhome tour of the South Island). On both occasions the reception team were super-friendly and so helpful. We were able to check in early and had a fabulous room. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Airport Palms is in a nice area close to the airport and on the bus route to the city centre. The airport shuttle service was excellent and made getting to and from the airport worry-free. We will be returning to Airport Palms when we return to Christchurch.
