Good value. Bungalow room a little tired. No in room tea and coffee facilities - so have to go to main restaurant for everything. Property facilities OK.

We stayed at Agapi Beach Resort from 27/10 to 03/11/24 for the third consecutive year. This place never fails to disappoint. Beautiful hotel complimented by the fantastic staff. The accommodation is lovely and cleaned thoroughly every day. The food is lovely and varied each day. As you walk around the hotel the grounds are immaculate with an array of trees, bushes, plants and flowers. Numerous pools dotted about. The beach is two minutes from the main complex. Beach towels provided every day. There are different places on the complex to eat. We can’t praise Agapi Beach Resort enough. Just something about the place that just makes us want to go back every year. Hopefully we will again in 2025.

Food was great and lots of choice. Staff was friendly, if at times overzealous (I still hadn't finished my meal and they wanted to take away my plate every 2 minutes). Elevators too small, old and slow. Carpet in some of the floors and rooms, in a beach resort is really inappropriate and should be removed. You need to think of installing a bidet in every room, for customers who wish to keep cleaner than others.

Very very friendly and helpful staff. The original room we got was not what we expected. Was very small and the shower would soak the bathroom. We went down and asked if we could upgrade and they were quick to upgrade us at a very reasonable rate. We went to one of the bungalow rooms and it was very nice. Comfortable and roomy. Food and drinks were typical for an all inclusive resort. Nothing was bad but nothing was remarkable either. It is a very quiet resort so great to relax. Do wish there was some music for an ambience and vibe upgrade. Spa and gym were very nice. Overall great experience

Fit our needs for a night.

We needed a hotel close to airport for a very early flight. It worked out perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was great. Grabbed some free chase lounges on the beach. Typical beach with chases covered in towels but no one on them. It’s so annoying. The food was good. All inclusive. The highlight was a couple singing and they were exceptional. For context not a all inclusive traveler.

Good property

The food was fantastic and definitely the best part of the trip. The rooms are kind of small, the air conditioning doesn't work very well and the beds are very hard, so that took some getting used to. The pool can be difficult to get in and out of as the ladders are quite slippery.

Excellent resort with lots of food and drink options

Come for the beach and the food/drinks but don't expect a party atmosphere. It's a quiet property with 3 pools however everyone is either at the beach or at the primary pool. When we were there practically no one else was going in the pool which is fine if you prefer a quiet atmosphere. Lovely staff, lovelier kitties around the property which was excellently located. We were able to take the city bus from the port for $2.50 and it stops right in front of the hotel. Hop on Hop Off stops right in front of the hotel. Rooms were OK and safe. Buffet was always amazing with plenty to choose from. Not sure if it was just the time of year but would recommend this place to older couples and not party goers. Would visit again!

Just came back from a wonderful stay at the Agapi Beach Resort. Staff so friendly and helpful, the food was great with lots of options. Beach beautiful and the pools were well maintained. Loved the hotel cats too! The spa is great as well. Would recommend.

Very well run and friendly resort, nothing is too much trouble, fabulous sunshine throught second week in September. Excellent massage at the spa. The inclusive a la carte meals were lovely.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay everybody was so helpful and attentive, the all-inclusive food was excellent lots of variety and really good quality along with options of the main restaurant and many other restaurants

Easy to book on Expedia and enjoyed the lively stay

The beach, amenities, staff, and food were all excellent. The rooms were nice and clean, but the AC was weak and not able to cool the rooms adequately. Other than that, this was a truly enjoyable experience and we would highly recommend staying there.

Loved every aspect of the property. Great food and lots of variety. Fabulous entertainment for all ages. Superb beach. Staff were really pleasant and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble.

magnificent place to stay

Clean, great facilities. Staff are superb from entertainment to cooking to reception. Everything was easy, pools are lovely, beach is clean, we came in May/June and never had an issue finding a sun bed. Food is absolutely super with extremely fresh ingredients and a great variety. Highly recommend

Beautiful beach view rooms, easy layout, enjoyable turtle haven in the lobby, many sun beds on the beach. Manager Manos runs around all day making sure everything is running smoothly in all areas to taking orders, clearing off plates efficiently, booking dinner reservations, etc all with a bubbling smile.

We loved our stay @ agapi beach resort all front desk employees are very friendly and their service was excellent and the bartenders are phenomenal especially pool bartender Ms. Rena was very kind and friendly . We thank everyone for surprising us with a birthday cake and card for our daughter. We are looking forward to visiting again soon. Again, thank you.

Our first time here and absolutely loved it. Looking to come back with more family in the future. Food options were terrific, pool options were good, and cooking class was really fun!

Beautiful resort. The staff we're unfailingly friendly and attentive. The accommodation was clean, really comfortable and we were lucky enought to enjoy a beach view from our balcony. The quality of the food however was the real highpoint. Breakfast, lunch and evening meals were consistently outstanding with an enormous amount of choice. I loved the Cretan table in particular which was always loaded with the most amazing traditional Greek produce. I'd highly recommend Agapi Beach Resort, it really was impossible to find fault with anything.

Amazing resort for food lovers

Had a great stay at Agapi. The amenities were fantastic and location was great. The food was incredible and the selection was massive. Every day at the buffet there was a new variety of local foods so you never got bored of the same thing. The rooms were a bit outdated and not the most comfortable but the rest of the resort made up for the room quality.

The hotel has covered everything that you’d need for your stay. Little things such as supplying beach towels, daily bottled water and free use of room safe, these all make a difference when staying at a hotel. There are plenty of pools, sun beds, and sitting areas for sunbathing to choose each day if you don’t go onto their private beach. A lovely stay for our wedding anniversary!

Nice and clean, friendly staff, bed wasn’t designed for 2 people and was for 2 singles, privacy wasn’t respected as our next door neighbour checked our room from the baloney while we were in bed!! other than that we enjoyed our time,

Very nice resort and staff are extremely helpful!

The property was really crowded. The room was kind of small and the beds were separate. The shower made a mess because it was not fully enclosed. At the beach it really hard to find beach chairs where to sit. At the restaurant, because it’s an all inclusive, the food was just average at best. For dinner you had choice between chicken legs, flaky fish, pasta with Bologna’s sauce , and potatoes prepared 4 different ways and white rice. The food was plain.

Beautiful resort with a nice beach and great staff.

The room and bathroom were cleaned. The area where our room was was quiet, so we enjoyed restful nights. The furniture is older but it is maintained and nothing was broken.

As other reviewers mentioned, rooms in main building are very outdated. Ants found in bathroom and the furniture is 90’s. They need to update that. Besides that overall it was good. The a la carte restaurant both were disappointing. The food was not tasty at all (so don’t bother. Just go to the main buffet) but the service was great. Beach access is one big plus for the hotel and close to the city which was conveninent.

Truly amazing staff, from cleaners, concierge, waiters and bartenders. Buffet was amazing, great variety and well prepared dishes. Bars had good choices for included and not included cocktails. Beach and surroundings were great. Spa service was excellent.

Great place! The crew is amazing, food and drinks above and beyond. The only issue we had was some mold in the room, once we complained it was cleaned and a wine bottle was sent to the room.

Nice and clean property

The staff are friendly, professional and helpful at all times. The hotel has 24 hour security making it safe. The food selection was always abundant and the cooking was superb. Thoughtful, eco-friendly and well-run, the Agapi Beach Resort comes highly recommended by me and my girlfriend who is a travel writer. We will return for our 4th visit very happily.

Agapi Resort was wonderful for an all-inclusive hotel. Check-in was immediate, the front desk staff welcoming and friendly. The resort was very clean and there was hotel staff always out and about cleaning indoors as well as outdoors. The restaurants onsite had a variety of food options each day. The food served was tasty and never left hungry. The private beach was spacious with lots of loungers available for resort guests. The beach bar was a short walk. The resort pools were nice. We only visited the smaller, more quite pool as that is what we prefer. I would recommend the resort should enforce and make the smaller pool for 15 & up. The resort has two other pools families can use & specifically has a pool for kids. The resort is a short 15/20 minute drive from the airport. We arranged a taxi to pick us up upon our arrival for €30 a service offered by the resort. There are plenty of shops, grocery stores and restaurants right outside the resort property within walking distance. Overall, we would stay at Agapi resort again in the future due the the service we received.

Enjoyable stay at this resort

The actual amenities of this hotel were great. The problem with the hotel was the room. The beds were hard, there was a smoke smell, and overall just older then what the pictures showed. The AC also barely worked in the room. We only stayed a day or two so we just lived with it. Otherwise the rest of the property was amazing.

This was our second stay at Agapi and we will stay again in the future. We love it here!! The staff are so very welcoming and accommodating. The main dining room has a big selection of food and it's all delicious! Theodora was excellent as always. Can't say enough good things!!

Wonderful place, on an amazing beach three miles at least so you can escape the crowds. Food is exceptional particularly in the two a La carte restaurants. Lots of green space to escape as it is very busy.

If you are looking for an all-inclusive resort with a lovely beach and multiple pools, this is a great place. The rooms were lovely, the staff was nice (especially housekeeping) and the place was in great shape. My only complaint is that we were unable to get a reservation at any of the Ala carte restaurants on the property (it seems you would need to make reservations days in advance of your arrival).

Lovely place and extremely nice and helpful staff!

We had an amazing stay at Agapi Beach Resort. We stayed at Agapi before our wedding along with some of our wedding guests. Maria and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. Nothing was too much to ask. They even assisted my bride when she had issues with her bridal car driver on the day of our wedding. We will certainly be back.

The food at Agapi was good and the staff is friendly. Our room was updated, however, some parts of the resort are dated.

Agapi beach resort exceeded our expectations. Fabulous amenities, staff very professional, pleasant and very helpful. Facility is well maintained and very clean. The food was delightful with plenty to choose from.

Amazing.

Property was very well located; both closed to city center and airport. You can use bus to go the center. We stayed in Bungalow sea front. Room was very well decorated with sofa in it. Cleaning of the room was okay, it could be better (for example maybe I can recommend to clean under the sofa). Beach, pools and restaurants are well located in the resort. It is really easy to find everything. Main restaurant of the property was very good with tasty food and lots of options. We went to taverna Akrogiali one night, it was also good. The staff was great and so helpful especially special thanks to Maria and Manos in main restaurant. There is also spa service in the resort. The spa was okay but really needs improvement. In summary, I recommend Agapi Beach Resort if you are looking for good beach and landscape, really nice food and lovely staff.

We arrived & they were very accommodating/helpful with luggage. The buffet wasn’t too bad - we enjoyed it for breakfast and dinner. No room service that I know of though which was a bummer when we wanted wine. Lots of kids here, though

Everything needed for a great holiday. Lovely pools, great choice of restaurants, very close to the beach, really helpful, friendly staff.

This was our first stop on our honeymoon! This hotel definitely catered to an older clientele. The view was nice and the closeness to the beach was a plus. Other than that everything else was a bit of a let down. Check in process was rushed and the lady didn’t want to answer my questions and told me to “come back later” the room was hard to keep cool and the two small hard pushed together beds were less than ideal. The room was just too small, the bathroom was small, no iron or Kleenex. The “all inclusive “ was not really explained to us and there were various prices throughout the property for different guests. I would not recommend someone to stay here.

Great service the resort has everything you want

This place is charming, and delivers all it promises. The food was delicious and varied. The rooms spotless. The pools and beach gorgeous. BUT the STAFF was Amazing. I have never encountered so many friendly, courteous, competent and truly helpful individuals. They always had a smile and you wanted to smile back.

Good property, a bit older. Staff were friendly and enjoyed my time there. Food is ok, lots of options. Not a good place to stay if you have food allergies.

People were smoking to close to each other

The room at the hotel is very much consumed. There were many small flies in the bathroom the comes from the sink holes. It's time are old fashion. The air-condition was not good, it doesn't cool down well and the smell of the room, bathroom and corridors were not nice. The beds are very very uncomfortable, they make nice and it's hard and consumed. Everything we wake up with pains.

I liked the fact that the property was all-inclusive. The food was nice and drinks were accessible throughout the day. The room was cleaned well everyday. The beach was a short 20 sec walk from our room and beach towels could be replaced everyday. The staff were very helpful and personable - even when we had an issue, they sought to resolve it straight away.

it's a nice self contained all-inclusive resort. could not get reservations at their restaurants, as they are booked a week in advance - didn't know about that - so main restaurant is the only place to eat. wanted variety so paid to eat dinners within walking distance of resort. took a day trip excursion to Santorini, was told in writing that kids up to 12 years old were half price, which is a lie, if a child is over 12.0 years old and not yet 13 - adult price. if i were to return to Crete, i would not stay here again.

Beautiful resort offering many services and activities. It is directly on an amazing long beach with many beach chairs. The breakfast and lunch was great although we preferred going out for dinner to some great tavernas on the street close by and in the city. The bungalow room was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

Great location! Right on a beach and only 15 mins from Heraklion airport! Exclusive pool front bungalow rooms are really big, with big bathrooms and balcony. The only improvement we would sugest that the Air con be a bit better. FYI the pool front bungalows are a little misleading we had a 2nd floor 'pool front' bungalow, but they call all the bungalows near the pool 'pool front' we were expecting a room that was in the ground floor which stepped out onto the pool Food was really excellent and the 2 al a carte restaurants are included, even if you go more than once which is really great. Lots of choice in the three restaurants for lunch and evening meal, meat was really good quality and always lots of fresh veg and fruit Again the only thing we could fault was the coffee machines just provide instant coffee, unless you go to the main bar in the evening which I think should be improved on. The included drinks list is massive, with so much choice included. We really enjoyed the entertainment in the main bar as well and the games/quiz night It's difficult to get a sun bed at the main pool, by 8am most seats are gone. But the private beach is huge, with loads and loads of space available all day. The other 2 pools always have beds too and are much more quite as there is often kids entertainment at the main pool. The staff are so so friendly and really accommodating, they were brilliant, couldn't thank them enough! I would return just because the of the staff

It was our second visit here (first being back in 2019), and we have enjoyed it just as much, if not more, than the first time we visited! Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful with anything you need. Great hotel that is very relaxing, and has a lot to offer. Only a 10minute taxi drive from the airport, or an easy bus journey that stops right outside. We would definitely be coming back as much as we can in future!

This has to be one of the best hotels/all inclusive places I have ever been too. I have travel frequently. The customer service was out of this world! I have never experience this level of customer service ever! I highly recommend it!

We stayed here for our 9th anniversary and we were extremely pleased! Agapi has made a little paradise in the middle of town and you feel like you're in your own little world. The property itself is pretty and the ocean view rooms are worth the upgrade. The staff were all so incredibly friendly and helpful, and the main dining room had excellent food with so many options! We actually liked it better than the a la carte restaurants. Taka Taka was really great for lunch or afternoon snacks. Gizelle, Rena and all of the other ladies at Aegeo Spa were fantastic. We had a great couples massage our last day there before the long flight home. Jannis (pronounced with a "Y") runs the store onsite, and he was also incredibly nice and helpful. He gave us so many tips on places to see while we were there, all over Crete, not just in Heraklion. We will definitely stay here again!!

Agapi met our needs perfectly as we were coming out of a 20-hour travel day and just needed everything done for us. Agapi delivered! Olga at the front desk is extraordinary and made sure we had a nice quiet bungalow with all the conveniences. (we slept peacefully for 10 hours straight!) The restaurants and service were exemplary and the pools were just were clean, cool, and relaxing. Our 3-night stay was perfect. Thank you, Agapi. We will return!

Agapi beach half term

I stayed with my two sons. They enjoyed the pools especially the heated one. The food was outstanding either in the buffet of the a la carte.

The meals where delicious with lots of choices. Some of the staff were wonderful- Wonderful young lade who talked to us about booking massages and was very friendly and helpful. The nice man who took our photos was so kind and funny and professional. The bartenders at the main bar by the buffet restaurant were not so friendly and there was one male older gentlemen server who was not fun, and had an attitude. He was a server and not a bartender. the bed was very hard, but the room was very nice. The place was a little out dated and older, but overall the experience was very good for the price.
