Great stay here. Not sure what we were expecting as it was our first time. It was a fun change for a night as part of a bigger trip to South Africa

The best way to experience the Klein Karoo

A real highlight of our South African road trip. The tents are all on one side of a small lake - a bird haven. The views are gorgeous. The night sky is incredibly clear. And, because there’s only a dozen or so tents on the whole site, they’re well-spaced and private. Our tent was pretty well-provisioned with a full kitchen inside and a braai outside. The two double bedrooms share a private bathroom at the back of the tent. After checking in, we realised we were missing things off the inventory but Reception was closed (it shuts at 5pm). But when we reported the missing things the following day, they were all brought to us within minutes - excellent service. Our tent could have done with a little TLC - the front entrance was quite battered - but that’s the only tiny criticism. This is a space where you can really appreciate the beauty and silence of the Klein Karoo - I’d return in a shot.

Wonderful hospitality

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - a true breakaway! Alfred was amazing with his service and assistance. The breakfasts are massive... and delicious. A definite must do for families (and couples) who love the outdoors while staying in relative luxury.

Glamping is the way to and Africamps is where to go! This is our 2nd stay at Africamps Klein Karoo and we are already planning our 3rd. I would stay at any Africamps in the country. Brilliant setup and beautiful views, with incredible staff. See you soon!

Very good, but

Small things lacking e.g. dish cloth, shower soap, WiFi very poor reception

We had a lovely time at AfriCamps. The accommodations were fantastic and our time there was great. We went on the Ostrich Farm Tour and we had such a great time. We would go back again if the opportunity presents itself.

Safari experience

Positive : Easy to find and reach with normal car. Well equipped. Comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Excellent staff and quick arrival and departure procedures . Very clean. Coffee, sugar and water complimentary. Big table and beds for all. Lots of hot water , towels and bedding. Could charge phones ect too. Could do Meerkat experience with them. Négatif : Wifi non existant Only 1 small pan ; could have given 2 pans or larger pan. Tent very noisy if windy

Amazing!

Beautiful setting, gorgeous tent and fantastic service. Only reason it dropped a star on comfort is because of the pillows -they were a bit too soft for me. Would definitely come back again.

Unique experience

Amazing experience. We enjoyed the wood stove in our room. There were two full size beds and one twin bed. We were surprised at how large the room was. Everything was very nice and exceeded our expectations. Watching the sunset over the mountains was a highlight, as well as watching the stars! Unfortunately, the wifi was not working during our stay.

Ostrich galore

The lady who took us on a short game drive around the property was extremely knowledgable and had personality. View from the lodges was brilliant. The whole set up was very well organised, would defiantly use again.

We enjoyed 4 glorious nights at Africamps and will certainly try some of the other locations.The tents are very cleverly designed, the equipment is good and all the staff are very helpful.

Very nice experience

Its was an amazing stay! If you like a peaceful private stay, this is the place. I found everything I needed in the tent, that combined with their breakfast and dinner package you really don´t need to think about bringing anything. I made the breakfast in my tent and it was great! The only thing that could have some improvement is the wifi, I couldn't connect most of the time.

Fantastic location, great and friendly staff, very peaceful and relaxed. Having your own Braai and outside space was great. It got very warm in the tent so we did need the air on but it was a lovely experience! Good options for trips out too, we can recommend the meerkat safari!

Wonderful, private luxury tent

Our tent was huge and comfortable, and had a great view and was very private. The shower was amazing. The host was friendly and helpful and organised a restaurant shuttle service for us. We had already booked another meerkat tour but they also offered them here.

A fun experience

I stayed with my three adult children. We all enjoyed this unique experience of living in these glamorous style tent looking accommodation with picturesque views and animals roaming around. Very comfortable and spacious and certainly an experience we will always remember. Also did a meer cat tour and ostrich farm tour as part of our stay. Would highly recommend total experience!

We absolutely loved our stay. The family run element and personal service was amazing. The kids could explore the whole property and we had a delicious braai pack for dinner and over and above help when one of the kids was sick - we spud definitely come Back!

Geweldige plek, ook voor 1 nacht.. toch een safari gevoel.

Die Unterkunft war der Hammer! Es war einfach nur ein Traum. Die Angestellten waren sehr zuvorkommend, die Aussicht der Hammer. Wir können Camp Figtree und den Addo nur empfehlen. Genauso können wir die vom Camp organisierte Safari durch den Addo empfehlen. Weiter so!!

Sehr zu empfehlen!

Unser Zelt war sehr gemütlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was wir brauchten. Besonders wichtig waren die Heizdecken in den Betten (wir hatten nachts einstellige Temperaturen) und die Klimaanlage/Heizung mit Timer. Sehr empfehlenswert sind das zubuchbare Frühstück (reichte bei uns für zwei Tage) und der Grillkorb. Da AfriCamps Klein Karoo einen neuen Erdmännchen-Bau für die Meerkats Safari Ins Programm nehmen musste, sind die Tiere noch extrem scheu und man benötigt zwingend ein Fernglas oder ein Teleobjektiv - die Erdmännchen würde ich zur Zeit nicht wieder buchen. Einen Aufenthalt im Camp kann ich aber vorbehaltlos empfehlen!

Sehr tolle Erdmännchentour ab Zelt. Unbedingt bei Africamps buchen. Obwohl es sehr kalt war haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen. Das Braain-Paket konnte dazu gebucht werden und war sehr lecker. Auch den Frühstückskorb mal probieren.

Hele mooie luxe tenten. Fijne douche en goede bedden met elektrische dekens. Wij hadden ontbijtpakket besteld , maar dat moet je nog wel zelf klaar maken . Werd wel leuk bezorgd in een houten kistje.

Het slapen in de tent was een leuke ervaring. Het was echt glamping want aan alle luxe was gedacht. Enige dat jammer was is dat onze tent helemaal niet aan de waterplas lag zoals beloofd op het internet. Wij zaten in een tent die helemaal niet uit keek op de waterplas waar de dieren 's morgen en 's avonds kwamen drinken. Hier hadden wij onze kinderen zich al maanden op verheugd.

Super schön, man kann den ganzen Tag die Tiere beobachten.

Excelente experiencia! Vimos muchas variedades de antílopes muy cerca de nuestra carpa. También en el safari la explicación fue muy didáctica y pudimos ver a las jirafas

Naturnahes Camping für Menschen, denen eigentlich campen zu unbequem ist. + schöne Lage, weitläufige, saubere, gepflegte Anlage + umweltbewusst (z.B. keine Plastikverpackungen im Breakfast Basket) + per WhatsApp war für unsere Fragen jederzeit auch am Abend jemand erreichbar - sehr schlechte WLAN Verbindung

Ein wichtiger Hinweis zu erst: Die Anlage ist nur befahrbar nachdem man per Handy die Rezeption angerufen und den Zugangscode für das Tor erfahren hat. Danach beginnt sofort das Abenteuer denn der Weg zur Rezeption führt bereits über einen nicht asphaltierten Weg. Nach der persönlichen Begrüßung und kurzen Einweisung darf man sein Zelt beziehen und kann die Ruhe genießen. Das Gelände ist sehr weitläufig. Die Nachbarzelte sind mit einem großzügigen Abstand am Wasserloch verteilt. Durch die schöne Vegetation kommt es einen so vor als wäre man alleine. Das Zelt bietet den höchsten Standard von warmen Wasser, Klimaanlage, Küche mit Toaster, Mikrowelle und Gasherd alles was man für den Aufenthalt dort benötigt. Trotz Standort in der Wildnis ist das Zelt sehr sauber und die Wasserversorgung sehr gut. Wir haben sowohl das Frühstückspaket sowie BBQ-Paket hinzugebucht und waren von der Vielfalt sowie Menge positiv überrascht. Der Ausblick auf das Wasserloch ist wunderschön und die Springböcke rundherum lassen es sehr idyllisch aussehen. Uns nächster Stop war Swellendam. Beim Check-out hat man uns in Berrydale das Restaurant "Diesel & Creme" empfohlen. Das Restaurant ist wirklich ein Besuch wert und das Essen war hervorragend. Diese Unterkunft können wir nur weiterempfehlen.

Es war wunderbar. Ein wirklich schönes Erlebnis in der Klein Karoo im Zelt. Die Erdmännchentour ist auch enpfehlenswert.

Ein luxuriöses Zeltfeeling in schöner Umgebung! Sehr schön eingerichtet. Der ideale Ort für Ausflüge oder einfach zum entspannen!

Luxus Camping

Ein Traum für Leute, die das Outdoorleben lieben. Für kalte Nächte gab es Heizdecken, einen kleinen Holzofen und eine Klimaanlage zum Heizen. Das Barbecue mit Blick auf die Wildnis gehört zu den unbezahlbaren Erinnerungen.

Superschöne und komfortable "Buschübernachtung"

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt im "Busch" in komfortablen, liebevoll ausgestattetem Zelt. Die Verpflegung für unser Braai an unserem eigenen Lagerfeuer und fürs Frühstück war super. Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht! Wir hatten noch einen Gamedrive und eine Erdmännchensafari - war beides sensationell! Die Lage war klasse, mitten in der Natur mit schneebedeckten Bergen im Hintergrund. Super!

Perfect verblijf en een echte must do

Wat hebben wij een fantastisch verblijf gehad bij Africamps. Slapen tussen de wilde dieren in een zeer luxe tent. Vanuit je tent heb je uitzicht op de drinkplaats van de dieren en je mag er zelfs rondlopen. De tent is van alle luxe voorzien en erg comfortabel. Bij de tent hebben ze een BBQ wat een must is als je verblijft in de wildernis. Africamps bied een pakket aan maar je kan ook naar de supermarkt gaan. Een echte must als je Inc Zuid Afrika bent

Super Ort für eine erholsame Zeit

Großes Areal, sehr natürlich und es gab viele Antilopen, die im ganzen Areal frei rumliefen. Die Zelte waren riesig und top ausgestattet. Echte Komfortzelte. Jedes Zelt hatte seine eigene Feuerstelle. Das Fleisch konnte man entweder aus dem Camp beziehen oder selbst im Supermarkt besorgen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden wieder kommen, aber dann auch länger bleiben.

Sehr geräumiges, komfortables Zelt. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Auch für Familien mit kleinen Kindern geeignet. Frühstück ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Pittoresque

Séjour atypique et dépaysant dans un milieu naturel et grandiose. La vue est panoramique. Structure très bien conçue et fonctionnelle; literie neuve et très confortable. Les hôtes sont charmants et à l'écoute. Attention à la chaleur qui peut être élevée 44° et plus pendant notre séjour en janvier.

Afrika hautnah erleben.

Es war ein sehr authentisches Erlebnis.wir wollten das camingfeeling, jedoch auch den gewohnten Standart mit Dusche wc ect Wir hatten auch Frühstück gebucht. Es wurde alles so liebevoll vorbereitet. Es fehlte an nichts. Von youghurt Müsli, Toast.ham and eggs ,juce...und das ganze mit Blick auf die afrikanische Wildnis. Das Personal zuvorkommend. Hatten auch eine sehr persönlich geführte Erdmännchensafari, es war ein besonderes Erlebnis. Leider alles nur zu kurz.Zwei Nächte.hoffentlich bleibt es auch weiterhin so familiär geführt, etwas was Africamps besobders auszeichnet. Unser Kinder meinten: hier kommen wir irgendwann wieder her.

Extrem neu und sehr toll!

Service top, herrlich gelegen, mega romantisch. Ein absolutes Ereignis. Schade waren wir nur 1 Nacht dort. Sehr luxuriös auch!

Tolles Luxuszelt in der Klein Karoo

Unser Aufenthalt im AfriCamps Oudtshoorn war grandios! Die Zelte haben wirklich alles, was das Herz begehrt: Eine große Terrasse mit schönen Holzmöbeln und einem fantastischen Ausblick, Grill, eine perfekt ausgestattete Küche, Ofen mit Brennholz, Badezimmer mit Dusche und ein wunderbares Bett mit Heizdecke (!). Der Campleiter war sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Das Personal kann jeden Tag in das Zelt und brachte Wasser, Holz, Anzünder etc.
