Resort was a lot smaller than what I was expected. Room was in a good size but didn’t have any place in the room to place the luggage’s on! We have to open them on the floor. Nice and cozy resort. The restaurant was beautiful, however breakfast and coffee was served cold most of the time. Location was excellent. So many shops & restaurants around and walkable to everything. I still recommend this place.
Friendly and very polite staff. Really like their hospitality. No buffet breakfast and no enough portion for ala carte menu either. Very experienced SPA staff.
Fabulous hotel
Great location great staff
Excellent location, amazing service. Food was great. The room was the lowest floor, so it was a lots of steps , 3 floors. No lift!! Overall a great place.
I have stayed now at Adiwana three times now and have always enjoyed my stay. This time though I was disappointed to find our the river view room I had booked a few days earlier (and paid extra to have) was not available even though I had specifically booked this type of room.
This place is amazing
What a lovely hotel, with superb staff! Every aspect of our stay here was a treat!
Excellent stay!
Adiwana Jembawan was perfect. Couldn't do enough to help you, especially Echa on reception who was incredibly efficient, even booked our excursion to Mount Batur. The separate restaurant was also great, breakfast, happy hour and food all good quality and lots of choice. Good location in centre of Ubud for walking around. And the bed....was huge!
Well maintained luxurious property within easy walk from the city center. Staff was very helpful. Special mention for the made to order healthy breakfast choices and evening tea.
Amazing place! Couldn’t recommend higher enough
If this one was a VIP there was none mentioned to us at time of check in
Really nice breakfast included. Cocktails are overpriced though and so is the spa. Service is fantastic and hotel staff is excellent
We enjoyed our stay, the hotel location is a cocoon of tropical oasis. The spa was fantastic and the restaurant was awesome. We love our stay
Really nice, clean, and well maintained property. Many activities at the resort to do. Morning yoga, afternoon tea, movie night.
.
Exceeded all expectations
Exceeded my expectations! The staff were friendly and accommodating on every level. The property was impeccable and ever so peaceful.
The property was beautiful. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Not one complaint . If I ever return I will only stay here.
Friendly staff, clean facilities
Staff were super friendly and helpful especially Febri and Robbie they went above and beyond
Stayed 2 nights. Amazing service and very good facilities. Will stay again if I get back to Ubud.
The staff at this property was the nicest I have ever encountered. Every single staff member went above and beyond. I have traveled to 42 countries and the culture in Bali and at this resort far exceeded all my other stays. The only thing I worked change is the bathrooms. There is no physical wall or separation. No privacy other than a glass door and a curtain. Uncomfortable if you are sharing a room.
Paradise in Ubud
I would highly recommend staying at Adiwana resort Ubud It is absolutely beautiful The food is amazing the service impeccable and the vibe so tranquil It is the perfect place to unwind from stress or after a traumatic experience I would recommend it to anyone who needs a break from work You are amongst the rain forest overlooking to beautifully kept pool The staff are unobtrusive but efficient Nothing is a problem Fantastic for couple singles and pensioners Well done Adiwana you have built an oasis If I had to say a negative it would be the English Chanel you have is not appropriate The only English Channel is sci fi I would recommend 2 English channels Maybe discovery And CNN Which is a overall news channel
.
Staff was super helpful. Location in town a river view, on-site restaurant for included breakfast available all day, pools etc made for a nice stay. Great to be able to walk to multiple museums, downtown, restaurants. Nice all round, zero disappointments.
Hidden gem
Adiwana Jembawan is a lovely peaceful resort within walking distance of Ubud centre. It’s a great base for exploring the area or just chilling out. The rooms are excellent and the staff super friendly.
THE BEST UBUD RESORT
Amazing place Lovely lobby and gardens The staff are very friendly and polite The restaurant was closed so we ordered breakfast at the lobby at check in They brought it too our balcony Very nice The room was wonderful and clean With stylish fixtures Its is a great place to relax I would recommend this resort to anybody I recommend you go soon before prices go up Overall 10 out of 10 And a special star to the great staff And reservations lady She was wonderful Thank you
Exceptional
Exceptional property right in the center of Ubud.
Convenient situation + most gracious and helpful staff + great massages + super healthy and tasty food = total relaxation
Oasis
Perfect oasis walking distance from the Ubud market, restaurants, and temples.Nice staff, rooms, pools, and spa.
We spent 3 night in the hotel and we had a wonderful time! We will be back!!!
Great Hotel
Great hotel, with great facilities and staff service, very happy, would stay again and recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Exceptional service. Beautiful facilities and pool area. Great breakfasts.
Fantastic service and experience. Perfect location for exploring Ubud and walking back for some R&R. Great spa too.
The staff was so kind and accommodating, 5 star service upon arrival! There was a little mix up with airport pick up, so they offered complimentary transfer to our next destination as a means of apology. Unexpected but very grateful! The grounds are beautiful, and very serene. You feel far away from the busy Main Street in Ubud, with lots of green vegetation, bird sounds, infinity pools, but it is actually very conveniently located to the Ubud Market, recommenced restaurants, the monkey forest, and about 1 mile from the Campuhan Ridge walk. I also highly recommend the Balinese healing massage through the hotel’s Tejas Spa. Really great experience!
Luxury vacation
An amazing experience from beginning to end. Excellent and kind staff. Warm welcome and information about the hotel and what they could offer. The food is superb and breakfast can be served anywhere (nice to have breakfast at the poolside). The hotel is within walking distance from the city center. We booked a half day trip with driver from the hotel (Kadek). He was very helpful and patient with us, even when we spent more time than planned.
Beautiful lush property! Relaxing and peaceful with amenities for facials, massages and poolside dining
The Adiwana Resort was an oasis! The property is modern and tranquil and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was attentive and went above and beyond to provide a fabulous experience. The hotel restaurant was very good and offered a wide variety of food. Our room was so comfortable and tastefully appointed. I highly recommend this resort and spa.
The property is beautiful and the staff were amazing.
Loved every minute!
Beautifully appointed hotel in an incredible setting. The complimentary afternoon tea and breakfasts were wonderful. We found the pool chairs at the main pool were often all taken, so were happy to find a smaller pool as well. We loved our stay here and would absolutely recommend!
amazing room and property. we thought the service and attention to detail was wonderful. Morning breakfast at the restaurant (or room//pool) was nice. Really liked the location and walkability to shops/restaurants and sights
Great little respite from bustle of Ubud!
We loved our stay at Adiwana! From the exceptional service and staff, thoughtful packages and great amenities, we welcomed the respite from the bustle of Ubud & always felt well cared for when we returned. The location is right in the middle of everything. We loved the all day breakfast and comfortable room! Thanks for a great stay.
Can add more yoga sessions each day...............
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location in a quiet street but within 5 minutes of Ubud centre.
So close to Ubud centre. Nice clean facilities. Yoga and medidation were great.
This was a great place to spend a few nights in Ubud. Staff were brilliant. Our only moan was slow service at breakfast but the reception staff reacted well to our comments and we saw a definite improvement over the next couple of days.
3 nights of luxury
Amazing resort, great location. Extremrly friendly and happy staff. Amazing pool set in the rainforest. Would stay here again
All the staff were so friendly so welcoming. Great location lots to do yoga day spas food. Great balinese inspired food healthy and tasty. Walking distance to shopping area of Ubud.
Beautiful hotel, perfect location
Really great experience, the hotel is in the perfect location
I was so comfortable here I didn’t want to leave! When I checked in Hari told me this would be my home in Bali and I truly felt it was. My beautiful room included a covered patio with a comfy daybed just steps away from one of the pools. I would go out for a few hours and come back to my room to relax, cool off and soak in the peace and beauty of the place. I enjoyed delicious and healthy food at the Herb Library restaurant and indulged in several treatments at the Tejas spa, along with daily yoga and meditation classes. Hari arranged a private day tour with Gede, who took me to coffee plantations, the famous rice terraces, and the water temple. Gede had the required sarong ready for me and explained the customs of the island and the history and rituals of the holy water bath. My day with him was the highlight of my trip! My ride back to the airport was seamless with Kodi. I was so impressed by the staff that I will definitely return.
Staff very hospitable, room extremely clean, and complementary breakfast was gourmet and tasty every morning.
The effort was there by the staff but unfortunately our stay fell short. The check in was a little too much as most travelers are tired and just want to get to their room to unpack. Our check in was a little long with being escorted to our room and being shown everything in the room. There was no top sheet on the bed which meant we were left with only the duvet which as being a former hotel worker I know rarely get washed. The bedding also always felt damp. The staff didn’t seem to have much knowledge of the attactions in the area and the driving service they provide at the hotel is ridiculously over priced. The restaurant was nice but when we went in to have a drink we had ordered and were immediately asked if they could bring us the bill to pay. No time to ask how our drinks were, if we wanted more or something to eat. The drinks were also very expensive. We called one morning and asked to have floating breakfast in the pool and were not told there would be an extra charge until our breakfast was already floating in the pool. Out of all our stays in Bali we had the biggest language barrier at this resort. Nice place but still needs some work.
We spent a weekend at Adiwana Jembawan. When we entered our room, we noticed a very strong smell of dampness and mould. It was around 11pm when we checked in and we were tired so we didn't complain. The following morning we went to the reception to describe our problem. The staff there were very supportive and said they know about the problem and that it happens because of the humidity during rainy season, combined with the lack of direct sunlight in the room. They promised to try and treat it and, if it's still not ok, we'd be moved to a different room. After the treatment, the smell was still present so we requested a change. We were told it is only possible for 250k extra which seemed a bit unfair since it was not our fault that the room smelled like that. After some talks we were told we can get a different room, no extra charge, but it would be a twin room. We accepted the new room which didn't have the smell problem but, when we went to bed, we noticed that the bed sheets had not been changed. They were full of stains. We called the reception and someone came to change the beds at 11pm. They apologised, but kept saying that the owner of the hotel stayed in that room before us and the sheets were changed. The sheets definitely weren't changed.
It’s an astounding Palace ... nothing quite like it!
A heaven risen from the jungle
The staff are amazing the food incredible we had breakfast in our room one morning on the balcony overlooking the jungle forest. It is so peaceful you feel connected with nature and appreciate the birds the insects the serenity of it all. There is nothing like a place like Ubud to unwind and recharge. We would absolutely recommend Adiwana as your destination to relax and completely unwind. Don’t forget to try the facial it is divine
Great hotel. Close to the center of Ubud town, yet quiet when you are inside the premises. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves good food, though the breakfast choices are a bit limited. This is more than offset by the quality of the food.
Beautiful location and hotel. Spa experience was incredible. Only downside was the staff, who seemed slightly inexperienced and at times hard to find. I say this to help the staff, and better the experience for all. A little more personal service, 1 on 1 with drinks and personal orders would greatly improve the experience.
Great service, idyllic surroundings, great food.
Service staff was amazing. The check-in staff asked what activities we would like to do and offered to check out the options and prices. When we returned to the room at night he followed up with some options which we found were of good value for the price. The daily breakfast was of high quality witj healthy options available. The resort is situated a short walk from the main shopping streets and restaurants but there is no lack of amenities and convenient stores nearby. Both yoga studios and good massage and spas are a 5 mins walk away. One reviewer said that the room smells mouldy and although there is sometimes a faint smell, it’s also part and parcel of the rustic environment and I had no issue with it. Highly recommended.
Relaxing resort in tranquil setting
Very quite location in the heart of Ubud, overlooking a lovely lush jungle ravine. The two pool and gardens are beautifully presented and maintained.
Very relaxing space
Great location near the centre of Ubud but still peaceful. Recommend rooms on 1st or 2nd floor as come with generous balconies overlooking trees. Rooms are comfortably furnished particularly balcony with huge sofa and dining table and chairs. On site restaurant serves delicious healthy food in room or restaurant, and breakfast can be ordered at any time of the day. Hotel staff very helpful with organising day trips.
This hotel is excellent. Perfect location in town for walking to the market, restaurants, Monkey Forest and yoga studios. The staff is lovely. Their included breakfast is awesome and is served all day whenever you want it, plus you get afternoon tea service. The pool and grounds feel very Bali. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.
A magnificent retreat in lush luxury.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Adiwana. It was everything we hoped for and more. The staff are well trained and extremely attentive and thorough with all details of check in and welcoming guests. The grounds and pool area are beautiful and peaceful. A lovely retreat from the bustle of busy streets. Try for an Adiwana room or if booking direct ask to be over looking the pools. The lower rooms near the rainforest are just as lovely but it's a bit musty when you first arrive so a room that gets the sun in the morning is a bit better. The beds are really comfortable and the breakfast at the Herb Library was plenty big enough and a delicious choice of local and western dishes. So lucky to have stayed here. We are definitely going back. PS, forgot the little rooster that crows in the mornings. We got used to it and it didn't always wake us. We even loved the rooster. Big Smiles!!
Good but could be better...
We had very high hopes for this hotel and it had many positives - it is extremely well presented, very clean, a lovely pool, an excellent location and very helpful porters. However, we were disappointed with a couple of things which, if they improved, could make this a great hotel. Firstly, the breakfast was too limited for this price bracket of hotel and not comparable with similar hotels in SE Asia. Even the very limited menu was not particularly tasty. Secondly, some of the reception staff were not very friendly and were too focussed on completing administrative tasks on their computers rather than offering a friendly customer service. Nevertheless, this was a pleasant stay but there may be better in Ubud for the price.
Heavenly stay
We arranged a pick up from the Airport with the hotel and nothing could be smoother. Our stay was heavenly as the staff were thoughtful, efficient and gracious and they responded immediately to any request. The location is great as it is just a walk to anywhere in Ubud. The room was spacious and well appointed with the most comfortable bed, lovely linens, towels and gorgeous toiletries. Our room looked over the rainforest and beautiful well designed gardens and two lovely pools making the surroundings heavenly. Breakfasts in the Herb Library are generous and delicious and there is something to suit everyone from the well thought out à la carte menu. For a cheapie meal even the warung next door is fine and better than most on the Main Street. Our stay was wonderful and we were treated like special guests in a boutique hotel vibe. Highly recommended- we will be back in a heartbeat.
Boutique Spa Hotel in Ubud Center
This is a wonderful Boutique hotel with lots of privacy, yet walking distance to Ubud Center. Love the intimate lobby! We were seated in this nice sofa, where they brought us our welcome drinks, and that's how they checked us in! :) The Breakfast can be served at the Herb Library restaurant, in your room, or in the pool any time during the day. No need to wake up early, just to make it for breakfast hours! My favorite breakfast item, black rice pudding, but the ginger tea with slices of ginger, was superb. My husband and I had the wonderful couples Balinese Massage, great value for the price. When we checked out, we were waiting for a driver, and Lia at the front reception, offered to call the driver, since he was a few minutes late. Love the service, these are the little details that make you feel special. The hotel is on a little street off the main Ubud Center street, so it is easy to miss, but walking distance to shops and dining. Please note that this hotel was the Alaya Resort Jembawan and now is the Adiwana Resort & Spa. Great gem of a hotel! :)
Great location to explore Ubud by foot
Exceeded our expectations, great place to stay and explore all that Ubud has to offer. Just about in the middle of Ubud allowed us to explore by foot most of the city, including all the restaurants, warangs, shops and ice cream Ubud has to offer. Although located in the middle of Ubud, once you enter the property it’s a quiet escape from the hustle just outside. Pools were a nice way to cool down and the staff were all super friendly. Unable to comment on the hotel food/restaurant b/c we didn’t have an opportunity to try it with all the touring, etc. Definitely would recommend to friends.
Beautiful property. Loved the swimming pool. Romantic. Complimentary Breakfast brought to your room, if desired. We ate it on our balcony overlooking the pool each morning. The Massage at resort was not good and cannot recommend their spa services. However, I highly recommend the hotel.
Great staff & location. Our inital room suffered from damp however once we advised the staff they moved us immeadiatly and apologised. They advised us after that they had purchased a dehumidifier to sort out the issue.
Great place to relax and enjoy Ubud
Fantastic stay good location, quite yet close to the hub of Ubud. Great pools and restaurant
It was nice stay and the resort facility is amazing. The best part is all day breakfast that you can have anywhere you want to have(i.e. poolside, room-service). Their spa was also good yet unique
Very central in Ubud, breakfast was not good, set menus and coffee all though nice was just in a very very small cup. Pool was nice and peaceful until they let some people use it for the day and they did not respect hotel guests. With some minor changes this place could be really good.
Great resort
It was a perfect resort! Very friendly staff
One of the best hotels in Ubud
By far one of the best hotel in best. Right from the check in, to the room, breakfast and drinks at the Restaurant Herb Library were all Top class. We found some mosquitoes in the room but the problem was quickly rectified by the hotel staff. Keep up the good work.
What a peaceful yet local hotel
Stayed a week at Alaya Jembawan in April with my partner and stayed in room with direct access to pool (fantastic!). One of my worries were that the pool area looked quite small and not enough sunbeds for all guests, however this was not the case. There were always sun-beds available to take in the great view and enjoy the sunshine! Pool size was just right too. Rooms were regularly cleaned at a high standard and bed was SUPER comfy! During the evenings, we regularly walked to the main street (less than 5 min walk) which had access to several bars and restaurants which was great! We recommend doing the several tours that are available, especially the overnight stay in Gili Trawangan! Staff were super friendly, they allowed us to check out and still use the pool and even the shower facilities in the spa area before our transfer later on in the day so we weren’t just waiting in the lobby for hours. Definitely recommend this hotel!
Friendly staff who are eager to help and took effort to learn to communicate in fluent English. Room is spacious, clean and brightly lit. We have a balcony to the beautiful infinity pool.

Must stay!
Lovely hotel with great atmosphere, great location on quiet street, but easy to get around, delicious restaurant on-site, and super friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again!
