Amazing place, lovely 🤗

beautiful resort and friendly staff. Saddam at the concierge's desk was AMAZING! He arranged all the activities we wanted to do while staying over there, making it a stress free vacation. We were very pleased with everything.

Perfect place to recharge

We spent a wonderful nine days and will be coming for more. Great place, perfect service - a special thanks to our personal buttler Ajin! - and very tastefull and broad options in restaurants. Really one great place to recharge and disconnect.

Overwhelming holiday, wish it never ends!

2 rooms at the Adaaran Select

Stayed in beach villa for 4 days then moved to an ocean villa for 3. Everything you could expect from a Maldivian resort. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Poor hotel. Bad management

Poor. Couldnt be worst. Hotel is so poorly administrated. Looks like they dont want to spend a penny on that. Only surfing was good, nice guys in there. I had a rat in my room one day. Food is terrible. All inclusive isnt all inclusive. Only meals. And not good meals. you have to eat every meal, every day in the same table. Why is that?!? They should change the management and principles. Things just dont work. Price?! thats the only thing at the hotel that reminded maldives.

Nature did a great job... humans did a poor one.

So sad. The hotel looks like its broken and is spending only in what is necessary. Everything you could ask for the hotel, they denny. The food is terrible. All inclusive?!? only meals!!! hungry at 11am?! have to pay for some poor options. At 16pm?! Pay! 23pm?! Pay!!! Drinks?! All inclusive includes only cheap options. Want a natural juice?! Pay. A coconut water? Pay. One thing that is unbelievable: you MUST eat at exactly the same table every meal! I've stay for 15 days... that is 45 meals... all at the same table at the restaurant!!!! Somebody at the hotel can answer me why?!?! The hotel is sad. No music, employees not happy, my work is much happier than that! Imagine what I've wished for my hollidays! But ok, not everything was that bad. Surf was really nice. The guys that work at the surf camp are amazing. Ali, Smile, Hoops... they all are really nice. Looks like 2 different hotels...

good but may improve

beach was close to the room and nice with sound of ocean can be heard around always , food was good, resort had a lot activites which can be done. but bed was not good as division of bedding in middle of bed caused me backache. dining place was far from beach villa and everything to eat was chargable in villa despite full inclusive. choice of beer and spirits in all inclusive was not good. so i recommend not going all inclusive .

Better than expected!

The sea life, location and staff were the hallmarks of our stay. The managers of both the ocean villas and beach villas were pleasant gentleman who know exactly what their roles where in the resort they managed. While you will not have staff waiting at your every move, they will be happy to help in any instance from getting you a beer to getting extra towels. The views, sea life were incredible. The staff at the dive shop were friendly and knowledgable, they tried to steer us away from the "welcome jetty" area but it proved to be the best place to snorkel to dive and snorkel. I got the best footage right off the resort point! Awesome! We upgraded from the ocean villas which were the best of earth, from the beach villa and the food was in line with the pricing. Significantly better, though in fairness to the main restaurants, we were able to find things that were palatable on all the buffets. Hidden costs: $135US/person boat ferry ride, internet and all inclusive is a bit tricky as it has limited times and locations...though not unreasonable especially when you compare against other packages.

Would recommend a shorter stay at a better hotel

Overall we had an ok time. Upon arrival, it took more than an hour to check in with no explanation from the staff. They were polite but could have done a better job settle by expectations upon arrival. The food options and quality left a lot to be desired. It was bland and frankly not great value for the money. I wished there were more better food options.

Beautiful resort. Small and intimate, peaceful.

Stayed in the OCEAN VILLA, they also have garden and beach villas. They all seemed nice but the OCEAN VILLA is AMAZING! Nice, quiet resort, ideal for those wanting a peaceful vacation. They also have an excellent dive center on site which I used every day. I got the all inclusive package, food was good. Customer service was great!!! Overall a GREAT place to vacation.

Family Vacation

Spent 2 nights with family in this island. Overall very nice and comfy. The hotel staff are mostly helpful and friendly, but a bit extra (tips) can really motivate them more. We did cannoning and snorkelling here for activities. The water was ok for snorkelling, not much to see under the water as lots coral are ruined. My guess is due to the large amount of guests (the hotel is very busy, and we were told by couple people the place often gets fully booked). the food is great with many options. Room is great with very clean floor, comfy bed, and big bottled water offered.

Negatives reported by others seem wrong

Before going to the resort (but after booking!) I checked reviews from other travellers. While most people were positive there were a disturbing number of negative reports, mainly in three areas. 1) Staff unhelpful or unfriendly. You've got to be kidding. With one exception the staff were always helpful and friendly, always ready to answer questions. Perhaps it depends on how customers approach staff. If you are hostile and demanding, then do not expect a friendly response. Ask with a smile and you will get back the same. 2) Food was bad or always the same. Of course this is a buffet so there are some constants from day to day. You can, if you try hard, eat the same thing every day. If you want to vary, then there is always the opportunity. In the 6 days we were there, we never had the same dinner twice. The quality of the food was good, but the meat tended to be a little tough. Apart from that, no complaints from us. 3) Rooms were dirty or smelly. Well we only know about our room, but it was always clean and we never noticed any smell at all in the room. There were a couple of places on the island where that was a smell but it was confined to a couple of small areas and easily avoided. Overall, we were very satisfied with the room, the food, the staff and the island, and delighted by the beaches and the crystal clear and warm sea. Resort islands in the Maldives are not cheap. By Maldives standards this resort is towards the bargain end.

Paradise on earth

I was very happy with this 2nd honeymoon trip I've had with my wife. Here we can enjoy snorkeling, diving, playing tennis, badminton, singing and dancing, all activities that apply.

Room with a sea view

It was a wonderful holiday and the island is beautiful. Our room was a garden room but we were surprised to find it looking out at the sea and we had our area to sunbathe with a beach bar a few steps away, it felt like our own private area. From this point we watched dolphins doing acrobats! The food in the main restaurant was excellent and varied. On Christmas Eve we went to the Sunset Restaurant which was very special and made our holiday. We enjoyed watching for all the beautiful colourful fish, sharks and stringrays, of which there were many.

Great massage on the beach!

My husband and I stayed here in December '14 for 5 days and had a great time. The staff were very accommodating, food was fantastic, especially the fish (breakfast wasn't great)! Initially we weren't happy with our room but the general manager was extremely hospitable and upgraded our room free of charge. We were much happier with the location and style of the room. The island is beautiful and there are activities to do. We enjoyed snorkeling and even saw a small shark. Don't be afraid though, these sharks are not the dangerous kind and swim away from humans. Adaaran is a great place to go and relax for a few days which is exactly what we wanted to do. We had a fabulous time.

Resort on Beach Heaven

As our first visit to Maldives, our expectations were high as we traveled as couple for our honeymoon. Frankly the standard of the hotel rooms were very sub-par their 4-star status. A 3-star transit hotel near the Male airport was more advanced in terms of technology and cleanliness than the resort. The room has no comforter, only blankets and a very non-functional AC that struggles to maintain ambient room temperatures. Even after repeated complaints to the front desk the AC was never repaired to function normally nor were we moved to a different room. Other than that every other aspect of the resort is fantastic. The resort kept us hydrated throughout the stay and the food was just amazing. Our waiter went out of his way to accommodate our dietary restrictions, we made sure he was tipped well. There are plenty of water-sports to be done during the day including snorkeling, kayaking, wake boarding, paddle boarding, jet ski etc. We had our own snorkeling gear and were never disappointed at the spectacle the reefs had to offer. The best snorkeling spots are near strong rip currents, so it is advised to be a strong swimmer to take advantage of this location. We saw everything from dolphins, sharks, manta-rays, electric-eals, colorful fishes, crabs to coral reefs. There are other activities including island hopping to Male and dining at a tiny island, day & night fishing. We will have memories worth cherishing for the coming years.

Night mare !!!

I don't feel like I was in Maldives and the hotel said they have clinic inside the hotel for 24hrs but the doctor was on holidays when I asked to see the doctor not even have another on duty. The hotel manager said need to take the speed boat for 30mins to go to the City Male to see. Such bad holidays...will not go this island for sure !

Great affordable resort for the Maldives

Had a great time. The hotel was probably more of a 3 star than a 4 star.

Not a 4 star hotel by US standards

I booked this hotel at the last minute when 4 days became free on a trip in the Middle East. I booked a garden room. Maybe because I was alone, but the room I was in looked nothing like the pictures. It was very old and run down. There was no place to sit in the room except the bed. Everything possible was rusted and there were water leak marks all over the ceiling. The bathroom was not air-conditioned and there was a bug problem. I could not keep anything in the bathroom because bugs would be all over everything. The drainage from the sink, toilet and shower was poor and would come up in a hole in the corner of the room. The people at the hotel were exceptionally nice but had not authority do do anything to improve my situation. I even said I would pay to upgrade my room. The food was ok for buffet type of eating. The island is beautiful and there are may activities to do. Everything activity cost extra money which seemed expensive but I have no comparison. The Ocean Villas looked nice but I could not say if any different than my "shack" of a room.

A must to upgrade to ocean villa

its was our honeymoon, we booked 2 nights at the garden view room on 14th oct 2014. it was okay. all inclusive is a must. then you wont have to worry bout your food. snorkeling was okay, there are huge space of shallow reefs. do snorkel at the diving spot where the boats park. there you can find more colorful fishes and more species. on the 2nd night we decided to upgrade to the ocean villa. then it feels more like a honeymoon paradise!! firstly the room is great, the view, then the service is different from the ones u stay at beach or garden view. the all inclusive meals are the same its just that when you upgrade, u get to dine in a different restaurant with fantastic view!!! this is a must! total different experience. you get to watch the stars at your own villa itself. overall it was not bad. few days is just nice or else u will get bored. :)

Best Economical Luxury Holiday

When we plan to visit Male and looking at the few places pls not to consider any negative reviews by the Toursit on this property. This place and service is better than what they have mentioned/shown in the website.

Relaxing getaway

A very good place to escape from the mad life for 4 days. Food is excellent. You also get free drinks at any of the 4 bars on the island with the all inclusive package. They also offer scuba diving and jet ski for an additional price. Recommended.

Beyond Expectation !!

Everything was superb. Dont go by the negative feedbacks. We didnt feel like coming back. Extremely good service, fantastic location, mindblowing experience.

Nice but somehow old resort

The accommodation in beach villa may be one of the two: 1.silent area, not so wonderful sea, 2. noisy (windy) area, perfect Maldivian sea. If there are some extra-money in your budget, you should upgrade the beach villa to ocean villa, at least for the last night (nights) of your stay. Still, do not opt only for ocean villa for your entire vacation, the beach experience in also a must!

Exceptional hotel for first timers

There is not much to say negative about the resort. So I will you in from what we experienced. It was our first time to Maldives and we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. If you are active, this resort has what you need to stay cool. Canoe, snorkeling, paddle-board, wind surfing, water-ski, and amongst other things (water activities are at an extra cost). All-inclusive does not mean everything is included. There are multiple excursions available, also at an extra cost.The other is the Wi-Fi, that is additional cost as well, and it is not in your room. You will have to sit in the lobby near the registration desk to connect to the internet, it is a snail though. The buffet is good as well, they will serve you 3 meals a day and snacks. The rooms are nice, they serve the room twice a day. Request rooms away from the sea wall, request a room between 170-200. Also for an additional cost is their Coconut Spa, my girlfriend and I loves it, the staff are very pleasant and friendly to begin with. The speed boat ride was about 35 minutes, the charge was $230 per couple. The 4 nights 5 days I think was enough, anything longer would be a routine.

Butlins in the sun

Lacking in class or finesse. The Maldives are beautiful but this is a poor excuse for a luxury getaway. Need to be ambitious for making the venue a wonderful experience.

Great Hotel with Great services

I booked an all inclusive package for my vacation for 3days & 4nights. I was impressed with the hotel services and cleanliness. Since I had the all inclusive package all restaurants and bars were covered except the Sunset Bar nevertheless the hotel had great food options and variety during all the three meals. The bar had some great cocktails as well. I enjoyed my time in the pool with a drink. I looked out for some water sport activities but was not that much impressed with the options.. I opted for Photo flight for Maldives but it got cancelled bcoz of less people interested in the same (this flight is dependent on min of 15 people being interested :( ). If anyone is booking the hotel without food package be assured that the cost of meal is decent, lunch is for $25 per person inc. of taxes etc. The drinks would not come cheap there.. Staff is great and very helpful and cheerful, they have at least one person on duty who can speak different languages for the convenience of the guests. I would rate 4/5 for the comfort and hospitality.

Bad room with very old furniture with agley tiles.

The island is very nice but the hotels room is bad rooms with very old furniture, the wall paint is off in some areas and the rooms have agley tiles.

Recommemded Resort!

Before staying in the resort, I read some bad reviews about the resort. But these did not happen to us during our stray. The staff are caring and their transfer arrangements are good. Food are good as well!

Nice relaxing place

We spent three days at the hotel. We appreciated the service a lot: very nice staff always available to solve any problem and customers desires. The island is a classic Maldivian one with all what you expect. There is also a nice surf corner, for the surf fans. The low distance from airport is another plus.

Memorable Trip

Me and my wife had a great time at the resort in the last week of March 2013. It took 30 minutes on spead boat to reach this beautiful island from the airport. The resort is well maintained with spacious & clean villas. The island has very good marine life.We stayed in Beach Villa 218 right infront of white beach, blue ocean with lovely sunrise view. I would recommend the location of this particular villa to be amongst the best. We enjoyed every moments on the island, the food, the drinks, the snorkelling, dolphin viewing ..everything. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Thank you Adaaran for a perfect second honeymoon!!

Ok resort but not worth 4 stars

The food at the resort did not taste good. We asked for a blanket and were told the resort does not provide any blankets, they can only give us an extra bed sheet. The washroom was clean but not up to 4 star standard.

Maldives amazingly beautifull

Me and my wife were on our second honeymoon and we stayed here for 2 days as we were booked with their another property for 7 day Adaran meedhuparu. It was a transit for 2 days near male and we enjoyed it a lot, the resort itself was amazing and the beach out of the world except our air conditioned broke on the second nigh, since it was late we had to wait for the technician and it took one hour to fix it was not nice as we were tired and wanted to relax. Apart from that we had a wonderful experience and would appreciate if they can us more comfortable mattresses in the rooms.

A OK Hotel

Some of the service professionals were very good and warm while some of them were rude. A guy in the ocean villa area was even snobbish, driving customers away. This is totally unacceptable! The buffet were so so. Bar tenders were warm and kind.

Ideal Resort to have Relaxing Hoildays

Excellent resort - thoroughly enjoyed. Food is beautiful and a wide variety to suit everyone's taste. We just could not believe that there can be so many varieties of food and not the same items every day but always a new variety everyday. Resort is excellent for relaxing. Most of th erooms have their own beach and you can be in water any tiem you like. Teh temeprature is warm and hence the water is nice to get into. There are 4 bars an you have accesss to them most of the time and it is especially good when you are on "All inclusive" deal. Hotel staff very courtesious and helpful. Good layout-gardens-walks- good time.

Review of beach villa - 2011

Location of the room is very good but the things that disappointed are 1. Room condition (TV Remote, A/C, lights are pathetic) 2. Service is very bad (Cleaning is not done properly, things like soaps, shampoos etc are not refilled)

Good location if you want to surf

The island resort is nice, but the best part about it is the fact that Lohi's surf break is used exclusively by the hotel guests.

Superbe et reposant

Super séjour même si le transfert a demandé beaucoup d'attente. Nous avons du attendre 3h la navette. Sinon le séjour s'est extrêmement bien passé. Tout est bien entretenu. La nourriture est savoureuse et de qualité. Les hommes de ménage passent une fois à midi pour faire le lit et nettoyer puis pendant le souper pour ouvrir le lit et changer les linges.

He tenido varios inconvenientes con el servicio de limpieza. La relación calidad-precio es muy distante de la realidad. También con la recepción y el servicio de deportes acuáticos. Con la lavandería. etc.
