Always come back to Abaco when staying in Auckland. Sheryl and the team are beyond friendly, the are fabulous. Rooms are comfortable and spacious and the location cannot be beaten - easy walk to shopping, cafes and restaurants , or onsite parking if you have a car. Great stay as always. Beautiful getaway

Great place to stay.

Excellent apartment with a superb host in Sheryl who went out of her way to accommodate us. Easy access to Auckland centre. Only minor blip was the smoking seat for room 18 was right next to our back door (single glass panel)-we could hear regular coughing and chair scraping! Perhaps we were just unlucky.

We had a wonderful stay at Abaco on Jervois. Sheryl helped us arrange an early check-in, which was so nice after a long flight. The room had everything we needed and we loved the energy saving features. Parking was so convenient and we could easily walk to Ponsonby to get dinner. Highly recommend!

A lovely space, had everything we could have needed! Super comfy bed

We chose this property for 'passing through' Auckland. The rooms were absolutely fine, a bit smaller than we've has elsewhere (but, Auckland is a larger city) but well appointed and clean. We only saw the chambermaid, our 'key' was left for us and we departed after 2 days before the before the reception opened.

Affordable option in trendy neighborhood

Great location. This hotel is right in the middle of the Ponsoby neighborhood so there are plenty of bars, shops, and restaurants within a quick walk and the inner loop bus stop is only steps away. Downtown is a quick scooter ride away. Some rooms have a great view of the down town skyline. Check in and check out were a super quick and easy. Rooms are well-equipped. Inclusive parking is a huge bonus in this neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location

Nice room with great views, The room itself is a little dated but adequate. The dishwasher should be removed as it is obviously not going to be repaired. Well serviced.

Sheryl & Margaret always make me feel like a friend when I stay here. It's also convenient, reasonably priced and close to everything you could possibly need: shopping, dining and transport.

Great stay in Ponsonby

We had no problem accessing our room despite a late arrival. We were greeted the next morning by the friendly and helpful manager/owner. A bottle of milk was in the well equipped kitchen. The motel is near many restaurants and shopping in Ponsonby.

Upon arrival, checking in was smooth. Staff was very friendly and accommodated my early arrival. Room was decent, bed was comfortable. Area was quiet. Overall, it was a good experience.

Only stayed for one night - was nice, quiet - parking a lil difficult (due to space) but there is on street parking. Lovely staff.

Good spot

Although this hotel is showing its age it was very clean and a spacious 1bdm . Comfortable, fantastic shower, smart tv and nice outlook from the balcony. Only downside was the microwave was not working which is a minor. Would stay again, everything you need close by or an easy uber to central city.

What a fabulous place to stay for a weekend in Auckland. Sheryl was so accomodating and helpful. The unit was lovely and clean, fully equipped with everything you need for a weekend and it is situated in a lovely quiet location and at a reasonable price compared to the CBD prices - we will not hesitate to come back and stay 🤗

Staff are awesome, Sheryl such a lovely lady. Made our stay so comfortable. The maintenance man informed us that the manager was out of the office and told us where to find our room key and check in instructions. Margaret one of the cleaners made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.😊

Our two night stay at Abaco on Jervois was easy and comfortable. The Ponsonby location was ideal - free parking for our rental car with many dining and shopping options within short walking distance. We’ll book again on our next visit to Auckland.

The position in Jervois Rd and close to Ponsonby Rd was ideal. Several restaurants were within an easy walk. The parking courtyard was safe for cars and despite being so central, the room was surprisingly quiet.

No staff available to welcome or contact when things went wrong. Key card didn't work. Coffee plunger had plunger missing. Blood stain on sheet. Noisy guests.

Nice, quiet and clean.

Turned up to check in and was previously told if i was a bit late the key would be left at reception. I arrived at 2pm and took the key as discussed as noone was in the office. I parked outside my room and was approached by maybe the maintenance man. He asked if i was Teresa and i said yes he then said i need to pay first. I had already paid but he said thats not what he was told and made me feel really uncomfirtable as he kept saying öh yea"i then showed him my payment on my banking app to prove i had paid and he said i got it too cheap. There was no milk in the fridge as i thought there may be as usually motels supply the bare essentials. It was a nice room and i would stay again just a first bad experience. Didnt see anyone else working there so dropped key in pocket when we checked out.

Due to Covid-19 Re-Occurrence resulting in AKLD Level 3 Lock Down, I needed to postpone my trip from CHCH. This company was not prepared to provide a refund nor a credit I could use at this venue a later date. Safe to say that unless they change their tune and assist me in a fair way then I will never book here again, would advise others to not book here either.

We have stayed at this property 3 times over the last 5 years and it is very tired in need of an upgrade. No soap, no milk, only 3 TV channels

Good value, helpful manager, good location, comfortable

We like the location but the maintenance in our unit is terrible. Dishwasher not working. Kitchen tap loose. Bathroom light not working above the basin. No cleaning materials eg toilet brush in bathroom. Only 1 small cake of soap for 2 people for 2 nights. Also we had a 2 night stay and would have preferred a service each day.

Stay in Ponsonby!!

Abaco on Jervois was located in a great locations with lots of restaurants and shops around us. It was a clean property and staff were lovely. Bed was very comfortable and the amenities were great.

Decent Location and Price

Great location, close to Ponsonby Road with all it's shops and eateries and not too far from the city. Just a short trip to Spark Arena with many travel options close by (bus, uber, taxi etc). Parking is included, but we didn't require it on this occasion and there's free WIFI. Management is friendly and readily available for any queries. I've stayed here a lot over a number of years and while the rooms are looking a little tired in some areas overall it's still a really good choice for location, price and included amenities.

My friends stated that this motel was ‘very complete.’

It was a really nice place to stay, everyone was very helpful and helpful when it came to getting into our room as the lock was running out of batteries . Was fixed very quickly.
