For the Budget Friendly Traveler Only

Ovwrall the staff are friendly. The hotel needs much improvement for the price they ask for a room. We stayed one day and took the loss for the additional days I paid. Upon checking out they insisted a wash cloth was missing. i explained it was in the living room. I paid 100 or 200 baht to avoid an argument since my taxi was waiting for me. better hotel deals are in Jomtien vice Pattaya. Jomtien is very close.

Nothing to do at this hotel, the bar was not opened during our stay, pool is small and right next to the street. It is close to the beach but it is not good to swim there with all the boats, jet skis running back and forth around. Staff was nice, room is small but clean and have ocean view, balcony doesn’t have privacy with everyone can see everyone.

Be very wary

I broke some glass on the balcony and cleaned it up and left safe for the cleaner. That night I reviewed a letter with a picture of the broken glass and that I would have to pay a fine which I did. I had to wait 20 minutes at checkout as there was a towel missing. I made them check again and they found it but as it had a coffee stain on it they fined me again which I paid. Wouldn't even lend me an umbrella without signing it in and out. Very untrusting so not going back.

Very clean and close to Beach Road

I rarely review hotels. On the off chance I do, it’s more likely to be a positive one than a negative one. But this hotel was exceptionally subpar for the price. I don’t mind the rooms very dated. But the plumbing fixtures made a mess of the bathroom. When I requested they be maintained, they did work properly. But why not perform routine maintenance. The service is what stood out as ridiculously awful. Any problem you have, management is cheap and lazy and doesn’t help. Not the way of hospitality in Thailand. Stay at the hard rock for a couple more dollars. The location here is slightly too far north. It’s not quiet but it’s not convenient to night and day life…..

Needs Renovation

I went to the A one cruise hotel by mistake and they kindly escorted me to the correct check in lobby across the road at A one Beach resort. This building was much older and had less staff and facilities that the other building. I should have booked the other hotel as the price difference is very small. The room I was given was old and worn. The bedspread had a cigarette burn in it and the wallpaper was damaged. I also found some hair in the bathroom that had not been cleaned away. The tv picture was broken and the channel selection was poor. The room had no soundproofing and I was woken every hour starting from 6am by the sound of an alarm/telephone. Another important factor is the poor free wifi which the hotel already knows about and is willing to change you 199thb a day to upgrade you. I would recommend staying at the newer A one Royal Cruise hotel not A one Beach Resort.

Good Place and Good view but the swim pool.......

A really good hotel on all counts. It has one of the best hotel gyms in Pattaya. Miss Meow, the Customer Relations Manager was fantastic.

Great location right across from the beach. We had a partial ocean view with balcony on 6th floor and the rooms were nice. Friendly and helpful staff, especially housekeeping and Beer at the front desk (yes, her name is Beer). We would definetly stay here again.

The front desk clerks were mostly nice. I think the language barrier might play a role here as sometimes it gets frustrating trying to understand each other. I love the view from my room and everything was perfect except there were tiny ants everywhere. It was a generally great stay and it is relevantly close to everything.

Great location and room size.

A great beach road location . A high floor 7 or 8 is a must as the hotel is spoiled by the constant coach park out front for large tour parties day trips etc. The small pool out front was really ornamental as was in shade all day with constant pedestrians and coach engines. The facilities of the larger AOne across the road are better but during my visit spoiled by large groups of Indian males With no consideration for other guests.

Not great for western tourists

The night staff couldn't speak any English and the front desk tried to scam us out of our deposit.

The best part of this hotel are a location and size of a room. Breakfast buffet was just ok. Cleaning part was the worst. Someone's hair in the washroom and water did not sink well. Overall this hotel is just ok.

Beach View with Balcony!

Had an issue at checking out! My girl used a shower robe the night before we checked out and left it on the Bed while we went to have breakfast, i left that night at 9pm when we got back room had been cleaned everything was fine howerver at checking out they went to account for everything in the Room and noticed a robe was missing! They wanted to charge me $70us dollars for it when the mate must have taken it along with the sheets she replaced without checking it out! Bottom line a list they usewas brought over and something funny was going on where the Robe count was! It show they count 2pcs but it had writing over it and it was a 1 so at the end i offered to bring my luggage down from the taxi to get it check but tgey didnt want to but i still went and grabbed it along with my Girls! They were embarrassed about it but i didn't care i wasn't going to pay for something i didnt take! Thats when the list was brought over by a manager and tgey realized tge over writting wasn't right so they said it was ok that it look like it was a mistake at their end and not to worry about it so we left... taxi was waitting for a good 20min while all this was going on.... Room/hotel very cleanno hassel bringing friends over

This Place Is Getting Old

We have stayed at this place for several years but this will be the last time. We had a reservation for a king size bed, when we got there we were told all that was available was two twins, but they would move us tomorrow. The next day we had to ask two times and see the manager to get our king size bed. The first room we got had a bad smell of mildew. When I wend to the gym I was told a large towel was 200 baht, even thought towels are available free at the reception for the beach

Good hotel but lacks flexibility

I really liked the accessibility of this hotel and very nice staff. I am a wheelchair user and needed an in hotel massage but hotel wants to charge me additional 1000baht and no flexibility.

very well located for all beach and eating places

weather was good only rained on our last 2 days.some good eating places,every type of food you could want.lots of drinking holes.but you must have a good open mind to see enjoy culture . hotel room was large and clean .we arrived early and the staff were very helpful and managed to get our room ready a good 4 hours sooner with out trying to charge us.

I give the hotel review score 8......the hotel is hidden by other buildings and the taxi confuse the hotel with the other A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel Pattaya ...... small lobby .. swimming pool is so small and you can use the other swimming pool in the other A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel Pattaya ,,, fitness center and spa in the other A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel Pattaya across the street.. location is north pattaya.. Don't leave the window is open otherwise the Gecko will be entered the room ,,I found Gecko in the balcony and I told the house keeping and he tried to kill the gecko but he is run away and my friend discovered one in his room

Problem with staff

The room itself was not bad, regarding the size and decoration. The problem is the staff and hotel policy; they are charging 1000 for each visitor regardless even if they visit for just a minute! This thing was not written anywhere, also it has not been mentioned by the receptionist at the time of check in, they told me just the visitor has to have a valid ID! Also I picked this hotel as it is just 3 minutes walk from a mall, which was currently under construction! If you already booked a room there you should try to avoid ground floor rooms as insects are obviously observed. AC was big disadvantage as it was so noisy.

Great location. Friendly staff. Got upgraded on arrival which was a bonus. Good size balcony with comfortable chairs. Great size rooms. Only downside was the overpriced beers at the pool bar.

Very busy area>noisy. Lost booking which took 20 mins to resolve(???)Buffet breakfast was poor by international standards and pictures on web-site are not what you get. Extremely expensive compared to other hotels in the area which offer a great deal more for less money. Would never stay thee again

Great hotel in a great location. Hotel staff is very friendly and rooms are cleaned daily in a timely manner. Breakfast at this hotel is good. Very easy to get to Big C and many restaurants near by. I was on 5th floor and had a great view of beach road and the beach. This hotel is close to beach road and 2nd road so no need to catch taxi much, just a quick 3 minute walk and you can catch a baht bus for 10 baht to pretty much any where u want to go on 2nd road and beach road. I will definitely stay here again

Happy with my choice

The bathtub did not work properly, but this is a developing country so I ignored it. The shower was separate and was fine. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The balcony was lovely, with a limited view of the ocean. Breakfast is not on property, but is a large buffet at a Halal restaurant next door (I don't have diet restrictions, but it may be of interest to other travelers of all backgrounds that there's no bacon). The pool on property is small and quiet, and guests are allowed to use the huge pools at the sister property next door. The location is on the quiet north end of the strip, so is a little removed from the partying areas of Walking Street, though there is plenty of action nearby if you want to find it.

Ripoff, Stay away

I booked the reservation under 1 traveler by mistake and when i arrived to check in i was told that i need to pay about $30 extra for an "extra person" even though we slept in one bed and didnt get breakfast. The pool was under repairs and the noise was really bad.

4 Day vacation

The hotel was awesome with the balcony and the large room and the awesome shower. The staff was always friendly and accomodating. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The room was always clean when I came back from my walk abouts. Great stay. Only negative was when I asked them to arrange a taxi to the airport the guy they got fell asleep while driving on the freeway 45 minutes in. I can't blame the hotel but they should vet the guys they recommend.

Nice hotel in good location in the begining of Beach road. Easy take 10 bath route taxi to walking street and back along second road. Only thing I did not like was a lot of people swimming having all clothes on, some directly from the bus. No reaction from the staff. After seeing this, I did not use the swimming pool. Best points to front desk officer.

Pleasant reception and tastefully decorated room

Welcoming reception was a good start. Rooms are well decorated and good aura about it. Breakfast was ok , variety is there but quite ordinary in taste. Hotels in this area generally ask for 1000 baht deposit so be prepared. All in all I like this hotel , new. , reliable and good staff, improvements to breakfast quality will do wonders.

Ideal for family especially with elderly

Fantastic hotel in terms of price, location, service and breakfast. Just one step to the beach road and night life. The breakfast was great and guests can order some dishes like fried rice, noodle or soap noodle. The room was spacious and the washroom was easy to the elderly and the handicapped, the receptionist, porter and staff at the restaurant were friendly and willing to help. We will definitely stay again next time to Pattaya. One more thing, the hotel maintains in good conditions.

My experience was great with 2 exceptions, the lighting for the bathroom mirror is really poor and when I stayed in my room I got a little upset because I could not find a tv channel that showed golf, tennis, or some American sports. But when I went out to the bars and clubs they had American sports playing on the tv. Adding sports center and American sports channels like golf, tennis and American football would help a lot with the in room experienc.

Couple Trip

Hotel lobby no big as what i expected. But hotel room is nice and big, i have request change my room from level 2 to level 6 due have booking sea view. Location are convenient, opposite are beach and nearby the shopping mall, big eye show too.

It's a good location because it's really close to the beach but during breakfast it's crazy and very noisy because of the group tours. Staffs are great and very helpful!!!

The hotel is nice, clean finishing is excellent. Down points no WIFI in the rooms, sure they haxe the cable to plug in but this is just a way to charge you more, and the staff at the checkin needs lecons in smiling

Great place to stay

The hotel is in pristine condition, very clean and convenient location close from the must see but not next to the party places. I think the rooms were a bit small for couples but not too bad. I would recommend this hotel if you are very concern about the cleanliness and want to be next to the beach.

hotel location is good n room is very clean but not the buffet dinner. Firstly the quality of the food is not worth paying in Oct, the price was Baht 800 but now it has gone up to Baht 900. Expensive. Seafood is not fresh esp. the prawns n the roasted pork is terrible. I think it has been fried over n over again. it is very dry n hard. Very very disappointed with the price that I paid.

Bitter experience

Bitter experience in pattaya. They do not belong to the elite class as they claim. Its on the beech for sure......but away from everything. maybe a hotel for the family.If you are single and would want to enjoy pattaya, suggest not a good place. Check-out took 45 minutes.......almost missed the plane.
