Great rooms

Staff was helpful and the rooms were great

Handy location, comfortable bed, excellent shower. Not much on TV, so bring your own entertainment! Lobby a bit gloomy, but v helpful staff.

Great hotel

Bonham will always remain as my top choice when I travel to Hongkong. Always feel like home when I checked into this hotel. They are always nice to accomodate my request for the same room when I returned from a day trip in China. Looking forward to coming back again.

Lovely boutique hotel.

Great quality accommodation. Close to the metro, cool rooftop, coffee machine and kitchenette in the room.

The hotel has aged badly. AC in the rooms didnt work too well. Same with coffee machine. Housekeeping took my hair conditioner from the bathroom half way through my stay. Still a convenient spot to stay at.

Good location, needs upkeep

Location is great. Right in the mix, very close to Sheung Wan MTR station. Very nice rooftop to hang out on, with a great view of the city. They also give you a bottle of wine when you check in, which works out great on the rooftop. Room was small but fine, kind of weird 4 person seating table taking a lot of the space up. Bed was comfy and clean. Main thing is room cleanliness. Just straight up not clean. The shower and bathroom were grimy. The shower just hadn't been kept clean, there was built up grime in the tile and all the corners of the shower. The sink and countertop were also pretty gross, as were the floors throughout. Other than that, pretty much what you expect out of a HK hotel. A big bed, a TV and a bathroom in a very small hotel room.

Amazing view .. clean and friendly helpful staff ..

A good place to stay for location in terms of being close to the Macau ferry, but in comparison to other hotels on our stay in Taiwan and HK, it felt a bit dated and less spacious.

The staff were very nice and accommodating. The room lacked convenient plugs for charging devices by the bed.

Location is Everything.

The location and spaciousness of the room is worth booking. 3 minutes from the subway and right in Central makes it a very walkable location. The view was great. They even have a welcome bottle of wine. The room had a bit of an odd smell. Couldn’t tell if the curtains were in need of washing or if it was old wet wood, but it was noticeable.

Quaint neighborhood with lots of Chinese medicine stores. Easy access to Sheung Wan MTR.

Last minute HK

Had to find a room in HK last minute. Friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Lift is not too big so felt a bit enclosed. Same for the room but this is more to do with me. The neighbourhood seemed safe and things to do around it.

One of the female with short hair at the reception counter has poor attitude. Her response is impolite.

Really modern and clean accommodation. Rooftop was very nice, too. The Cleaning staff were very friendly and the front desk staff were also helpful. I can’t find any faults with the stay. I would recommend this place for business travel or couples. Did not use the gym but it looked decent.

Pros: located close to an MTR station (Sheung Wan), clean spacious room, modern and stylish, nice shower, let us check in 2 hours early, very short walk to Macau ferry terminal Cons: nothing to see/eat/do in surrounding area, free wine not provided (as silver member of Hotels.com), quite noisy at night

Excellent place to stay on HK island. Good sized rooms and modern fitout with all amenities provided. Great location. Comfy bed. Staff were superb, especially Ivan who assisted with a little taxi payment issue! Will stay again. 5 stars!

Good choice great location

Really good location and choice if you want midrange. However wouldn’t bother with breakfast as you get a voucher to use in other places. Which are probably cheaper if you pay direct.

Room is spacious and nicely done. The room also has microwave/oven and induction stove. Unfortunately, the hotel does not provide cooking utensils such as pot, pans to utilize the stove. Hotel is located near MTR and bus stops and has lots of restaurants.

Home in HK

99 Bonham has a great location. Love the huge windows. The space is really well designed with an actual kitchen area along the entrance way. The bathroom is a delight with a bath tub and always plenty of toiletries. The bed is really comfortable. The separate seating area by the huge windows is amazing — enough room to invite a couple of friends to eat/ plenty of room to work.

Excellent facilities..has shower facilities etc after you've checked out and return later to collect luggage .

Dreary, old

Pretty poor hotel. Very dated. I was on the 26th floor, maybe other floors are different. No electric sockets, very tired room, very pre gadgets and internet..

99 Bonham was a mixed experience. The location is good with MTR and trams just a 5 min walk away. But the hotel lobby is shockingly drab with surly staff so first impression is bad. Not to mention we were not offered the complimentary upgrade privilege from my Gold membership even when hotel didn’t seem that full over the 4 nights we’re stayed. Room itself was a little small but adequately appointed. All in all, a little disappointing but if a convenient location is what you are looking for, it’s not bad for the price.

Liked the service, front desk very, very helpfully. 👍. The room was not what I expected, bathroom conditions were not neat, water stoped running in the middle of the shower. Some amenities look modern but low cost. Breakfast not available at hotel but finally they send you to a very good small restaurant with nice breakfast menu!!

The spacious rooms sold me. They were beautiful, clean and roomy!

My husband I stayed here for 2 nights and had the best time. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful as we ran into issues with our Uber driver. The hotel was incredibly clean and it was located in a great area. Amazing restaurants were in walking distance. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Stay

cozy and clean. the hotel comes with small gym, it is well sufficient to work out for a short business trip.

Love the hotel and location, surprisingly how big the rooms are being in Asia.

Nice enough but basic None of the platinum perks announced were provided

Front desk staff were polite and generally friendly and check in and out were fairly prompt. I stayed here several years ago and on this return visit, did notice changes. The amenities provided weren’t as good anymore and the condition of the room also was more worn; doors don’t slide properly, lights in the closet were flickering and the aircon unit didn’t seem to work very well as the temperature couldn’t really be adjusted so I felt cold most of the time even after switching the whole thing off. Noise from neighboring units could also be heard loudly. But that said, the location of the property is still excellent, with many good dining options nearby or a slight further walk away to Central/Soho.

Room was large and fairly quiet. It was the best part of the stay. Front desk is very messy and disorganized looking. Area is not tourist friendly.

We stayed this hotel the second time, the last time was in 2019 and could see a difference in the condition of the facilities. This time the sliding door in our room on 11th floor was stuck, it took us a lot of effort each time to close it. The tube to the shower head was loose as well leaking water and splattering onto the tap below. Hope their maintenance can be improved overtime.

The hotel is great. I will stay here again. Few minor issues: 1. There were very loud banging doors one morning at 7am. 2. The cleaning lady left her cleaning trolly in the already small elevator lobby. 3. We have 3 beds total. The roll away bed had stains. The other 2 beds are perfect.

Great staff, great neighborhood, ultra convenient and well-designed environment. Had a kitchenette and great appliances too!

Still a Hidden Gem

Bonham 99 has been my go-to hotel for a long time. However, it is due for some upgrade work in my opinion. For example, it is not USB-charging friendly. The big table in the middle of the room while a good idea, is a bit too big and take up too much precious space. They have recently added a water filter system in the room, but I prefer bottled water and a kettle. Too much technology to learn. Finally, I think its time to change the mattresses; I can feel the caving down. Other than that, everything else is good.

Too expensive for what I got. I bought room Breakfast but no breakfast inside the hotel, just a voucher to use outside. Wi-Fi didn't work, balance without batteries, no mini-bar. good position but really expensive for what they offers

Certainly below expectations

For the most expensive suite, there are many shortcomings. No Breakfast facilities, windows shades cannot shut tight, impossible to just have the bathroom lights on without the bedroom lights on at the same time, the thermometer works very very slowly. I believe the other reviews on Hotels.com are fake. Will never return.

R&R in the city

Very relaxing and satisfying stay at 99 Bonham. An immensely comfortable and clean room the staff were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the bathtub option if available, extremely enjoyable. I have previously stayed at the 99 Bonham and this last stay was just as enjoyable and satisfying as the first. A big thank you to all the staff for all their hard work. I can't wait to return in the future.

Great pleasant stay

The room was nice and staff was friendly; overall a very pleasant stay. The room had a SmartTV (Samsung), but unfortunately it wasn't equipped with WiFi reception and no cables to plug in, so it was a little bit of a waste that the TV couldn't be utilised fully (bring your own adaptor if you have one). There was also a screw on the curtain rails so the windows did not show a full panoramic view as indicated in the photos, but still very close and not really an issue.

We had such a great time here! Love that the room is very clean, modern and stylish. We particularly like that it has a huge dinning table around! Will definitely come back for a another stay!

1. The room smelled musty. 2. The curtain didn’t close all the way. 3. The coffee machine was broken, when I called the front desk, she said she would sent someone up. Waited 1.5 hours and no one came. I went down to the lobby and saw 3 stuffs were talking and hanging out downstairs. 4. The air conditioner was quite loud and we had to turn it off to sleep. 5. The door was not soundproofed at all. Could hear people walking and opening their door. Very disappointing! A terrible experience!
