Great location. Excellent staff. Good dinner restaurant on the rooftop. Sizable corner room. No air conditioning as they were still on a winter heat program, while it was 70 degrees out.
Wonderful location, right by the Roman artifact sights and next to Trastevere! Easy to get to everything, bed was comfortable, room was clean and the staff were wonderful!
Very very nice staff
Excellent location! Wonderful room, staff, and service.
Lovely hotel and staff. Hotel was positioned for easy access to the ancient Roman sites but also close enough the city centre to enjoy walking around.
I was In Rome for a conference and chose this hotel as it is near many popular spots in the city. It definitely didn’t fail - it was no longer than 20-30min walks from all the popular monuments and shopping districts. It was also close to many great local eateries. I used the gym daily which was well equipped and maintained and had breakfast - which was quite repetitive but still very tasty and the service at the restaurant was exceptional! I’d definitely stay here again.
Short version... If I owned a hotel I would try to steal their staff! Everyone was wonderful. Breakfast Amazing Rooftop Restaurant AMAZING!!
Fantastic hotel
The hotel was immaculate, the reception staff were really nice and friendly,The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic, once again the staff were excellent
Great location
Great hotel in great location. Walkable to many sights. Nice gym and other amenities.
Great breakfast and spacious rooms.
Great Stay
Position Easy Access Walk Everywhere Great Service Reasonably Priced
Thank you to everyone at 47 Boutique for such an amazing stay. Every element of our stay was perfect - breakfast, the staff , the rooms , the beds - everything. Walking distance to everywhere in either direction. There isn’t a better hotel in Rome that has the personal service and comfort of this wonderful home away from home !
We got upgraded but regardless of the upgrade this hotel is stunning and in a great location and all the staff are fantastic. Well worth every cent
This hotel is conveniently located near the coliseum and the Travestere area. The rooftop bar is magical and the daily breakfast is superb. We loved it!
Lovely boutique hotel within walking distance of all the major sites in the city. Safe, clean, good WiFi, quiet.
Awesome hotel
The service was excellent. All the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to take care of guests. The rooftop restaurant was amazing. It was nice to have a quiet and relaxing place to go away from the bustle of the city. Also, there aren't alot of restaurants very close by and as a solo traveler I appreciated that when I needed a meal later at night I could get it from the hotel in a beautiful setting.
Front desk staff excellent, the breakfast that was included was terrific! Room size was what I would expect for a hotel in Rome, REALLY clean. Central/walking distance to tourist spots- which we were. The king bed was REALLY comfortable. One last item- the shower has a huge “rainfall” head and it’s a delight - don’t wish to get out!
Close to several historical sights
Our stay was brief but we loved the hotel. Very comfortable and spacious rooms and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We arrived late and ended up ordering room service, the food was amazing! We didn’t explore the area around it but it seemed to be well connected and walkable.
Super hotel. We would go nowhere else
Excellent all around hotel with great service and location
Excellent hotel in a brilliant location with the very best staff.
Excellent, boutique hotel with a great location
This was a lovely and clean property. The shower was fantastic and pretty spacious with plenty of water pressure, and the beds were comfortable! The breakfast choices were nice, you can have a full English there. Service folks at breakfast seem a little overwhelmed, and it takes them a little while in the morning for it all to be ready. The staff was kind and accommodating.
Great stay, close to everything within walking distance, staff were all very helpful.
Amazing property overall with its convenient location to main attractions without being in the the thick of heavy tourist spots. We’ve stayed here each time we’ve visited Rome and will continue to do so. The staff is helpful when needed but pretty cold overall… not very helpful.
This hotel is very well located, walking distance from ma y important sites, including the Pantheon, the Coloseum, the Forum, the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. And yet, it is removed from the very center of the tourist crowds. Excellent restaurants are all also in walking distance. The only time we travelled by taxi was to visit the Vatican. The staff are all very knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. The rooftop restaurant is a gem, providing a bird's eye view of the surrounding area. Highly recommend this hotel.
The best in Rome. I’ll return for my third visit.
New and in good location but the high tech lighting system is not good. Power surge in the middle of the night caused all the lights to come on a full brightness and then system did not reset properly and a staff member has to come into room in middle of night to fix it. Old school light switches would be much better.
Great holiday in a really good location. Staff were very helpful
Ideally located to hit all the sites by foot. They have a rooftop bar which is also open for dinner (warmer days only). I felt sorry for the one server and one barman trying to serve us all. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable.
The staff were very accommodating to our needs.. and the breakfast option was very good and with lots of varieties. The rooms were clean and the steam room was made available when we needed it. Overall my stay was a delight and I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Rome.
Just a beautiful hotel. Rooftop dining is above expectations! Thank you Daniel for a wonderful dining experience.
Main issue is they do NOT turn on the air conditioning in this hotel until some date in late April or May. Our rooms were extremely hot/faced the sun and at night the noise on the street was quite loud so open windows were a challenge (plus temps Still too warm). Fans were not enough/we just couldn’t sleep very well. We were told the lack of AC was due to government regulation (Rome banning AC until a certain time). This seems hard to believe because other hotels seem to turn on AC as needed. But at the very least the hotel should publish that the AC will not be turned on. For this much $ a night, I think most travelers expect temperature control. The desk staff were very nice and I suspect they have no control over this but I would not stay here again given the lack of AC.
Really nice property with a roof top bar. Really enjoyed our stay. The staff very courteous.
Property location is good, close to all the point of interest, clean and good size.
"This hotel boasts a fantastic location, within walking distance of numerous historic sites. The staff was incredibly accommodating, with Diego at the rooftop bar/restaurant standing out for his exceptional service. For dog lovers, meeting Omar will be an unexpected delight—a charming addition to the stay!"
A very warm welcome everytime I returned to the property. Chatty and friendly staff- recommending the best local cucinas ! Incredible location, within 20 minutes stroll of all major attractions in Rome. Being across the river from Trastavere is also a huge plus- as that place is a real gem. The view from the front facing superior rooms, and of course the rooftop bar, of the monuments and the Tiber are superb.
This was an amazing place in the middle to discover yes, the heart of Rome. Everything was walkable, and we went across the Tiber river to Trastevere and had the best drinks and food. This place was amazing. The staff were very attentive and room service was super fast. Perfect location, amazing vacation.
Fabulous hotel in the centre of Rome
Wonderful hotel. Brilliant staff, large and comfortable rooms and the view from the rooftop terrace is absolutely fabulous.
Rome exploration
We enjoyed the location, the rooftop, and especially the room. It was very central to places for eating, shopping, and exploring! We would highly recommend it!
Great stay
Centrally located near a lot of attractions, friendly check in and clean hotel. Rooftop restaurant/bar has nice views. Exercise room has nice equipment and there is a nice sauna area.
Great staff and accommodations
Walked to many places- coliseum, FAO, Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. Very nice breakfast and super helpful staff! Spoke english, setup taxis and were very professional. I’ll stay again
Some stand out staff - so welcoming. Comfortable rooms, great location for us.
We liked the kindness of the girls serving breakfast! Very efficient. Breakfast was very good. All our questions were answered by the employees and they helped us with transportation. Our room was clean and quiet. Nothing negative to note. We would stay there again.
Good not Great
Overall the stay was good, not great. The room was clean and well maintained, the staff at breakfast and concierge were nice (shout out to Alessandro). The rooftop bar was underwhelming. We went up for food our first night, of 4, and never went back. The manager, Dario, made a poor impression on my wife and I. When we asked to be seated he wanted to know what we would order before showing us a table or a menu. It felt that we were a nusinace to him. He then proceeded to forget our food orders twice, and my drink order 3 times (took 30 minites for a glass of wine). Because of the poor welcome we received, we kept it light by ordering a cacio e pepe and lobster stuffed ravioli. Both missed the mark, not sure how the other food would stand up, but having compared similar meals out on the town we got better food and better bang for our buck. The location is a bit of a walk away from most attractions and not much immediately around (bars or convenience stores are 15 min walk). Fine for us, but an issue if you or a loved one is not used to walking a lot. Lastly, there is a one water filter on the first floor and only one still water for purchase in the mini bar. We would like to see a filter on each floor or water refilled daily for each guest. All that said, other than the poor service at the rooftop bar, I think this 4 star hotel is trying hard and doing fairly well.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast staff was very pleasant. Whenever we put a sign out to clean the room, it was promptly cleaned. We visited Rome during a heat wave(temperatures of 100 ) so the hotel played an important part in our stay. It was a cool oasis to return after our tours. All historic sites, food and shopping was about a 15 minute walk. This was very doable even in the heat. I would stay there again!
Great Hotel with excellent staff. Perfect for walking to Rome key tourist attractions. Roof Top restaurant excellent, plus allowed to use facility for drinks only upon return from other restaurants attended in Rome.
It was ok. When you ask the front desk to change usd to euro they say they don’t have enough but when you go and ask the other front desk person they change the money for you, so idk what’s going on there. Y’all need to be able to have enough to change ain’t no one got time to walk the roads so late to change money
Property was conveniently located. It was on busy road so of course the road noise was audible specially the emergency vehicles.
Great hotel close to landmarks
The hotel was updated and clean. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The staff helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful city.
The property was great, The staff was the greatest.
Nice enough hotel let down by hidden charges
Very well located comfortable hotel and extremely clean hotel with a fantastic roof bar restaurant. The only downside- the bar / room service had strange opening hours and there were hidden charges. The price shown on hotels.com changed from €850 to not being visible and on departure I was charged €1600…. Which had I known I would have chosen a different hotel. For me, this really let the hotel down. I also got charged €20 for room service for asking for an iron!! The lady on reception was quite rude when I challenged this too. There was also a couple checking in at the time with a small child who were told they had to buy an extra room as the law in Italy didn’t permit 3 people in the room…. :-/
Great, except no late check out.
The hotel and room were very nice. The front desk was very helpful finding restaurants and bars. The room was large and clean. The only downside was a denial of a one hour late check out after 4 days.
47 Boutique Hotel is a Wonderful hotel that has a lot of wonderful benefits . Breakfast staff was very pleasant always welcoming with a smile.. front desk also willing to go the extra to ensure your needs are met. Was hoping for a bigger menu up at rooftop but the fact that there is rooftop is a huge plus as well. Overall we will keep it on our list of places for our next visit to Roma. Grazie
Staff and service were great. A nice place to stay. Would definitely return
Staff is friendly and helpful
Great location. The Hotel restaurant rooftop has a beautiful view. Food is ok… ate there several times and sometimes it was great and sometimes it was not so great. It does book up so one night we weren’t able to eat there. They don’t give any preference to individuals staying at the hotel. Staff is friendly. Rooms are small just like any European hotel. Overall it was good
I loved how convenient this hotel is to the forum without it being in a very crowded area. Also, the views from the roof top bar are amazing. The staff was amazing. They always helped with finding a taxi and answering our questions. They are really the stars of the hotels.
Lovely hotel , great friendly staff in fantastic location .
This property was very clean, modern and comfortable! The staff was readily available and super helpful and kind! It’s only a 7 minute walk to shopping area! Great stay!
Nicely located, rooms are nice and big for Europe standards, however, they lack of a real restaurant where you can eat. They have a extremely little rooftop that is never available to guests, always full with reservations from non-guests from the hotel, in the lower level they have a cafeteria that is never offering service, the only time I saw people eating there I walked and ask for service but it was the employees eating lunch, no service for public. Room service food is really bad. It is a shame that having such a great location and the space to offer a nice place for guests to eat we had to go out to find food and even a coffee outside of the hotel.
A rip off basically not worth £100 a night let alone £500 !!
perfect location
Loved the staff, rooms were great (nice shower) location is excellent. I will definitely stay there again.
Loved the staff. Rooms were perfect Excellent location. Will definitely be back
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Great breakfast and eco friendly hotel ethos. Didn’t use the spa and gym due to only staying for a short break. Would definitely stay again when visiting Rome.
I stayed at the hotel with my 2 children for 1 week and had a great experience. The hotel is central and in close proximity to many historic sites and right next to bus stops that go to all regions of Rome, making it easy to explore the city. The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful. One that stood out the most was Ms. Shahrzad Baradaran whose warm hospitality, helpfulness, graciousness, and always welcoming smile and personality turned my stay at the hotel into a very pleasant and special experience. She gave us great tips about Rome and in multiple occasions went out of her way to get us into a couple of historic sites which were all booked out. Thank you Shahrzad from my entire family.
The best hotel I ever stay in Rome. Staff are amazing, very helpful.
very conveniently located and walkable to many of the sights. staff very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely stay here again. Location is great. Staff was very helpful.
All of the major attractions and dining we were interested in were walkable from this hotel. Staff was friendly and efficient arranging taxi service etc. We enjoyed the rooftop bar for drinks and snacks several times. The sunset from there was spectacular. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Would recommend and stay here again.
Amazing Hotel. Great Restaurant, Beautiful decor, super clean and all staff helpful. Thanks to Nico, Fabio, Sherry and the rest of the gang, very great experience.
Not as good as in the padt
We have stayed at Hotel 47 for many years before the pandemic. We were a bit underwhelmed this time. Housekeeping was less attentive than our previous visits. That said, the overall stay was good and the hotel is well located
Firstly, the hotel staff and management are extremely hospitable, friendly and save no effort to assist. The hotel location is extremely convenient, and almost walkable to everyone single icon in Rome with countless restaurants and attractions nearby. Definitely recommended and for sure going back again.
Disappointed
We were delighted on arrival with hotel's location, appearance, & friendliness of staff. Unfortunately, in their zeal to save energy, our lights went out at 11:00 the first night - making it impossible to use the bathroom (no window) in the dark. We reported it & staff came to our room to fix the problem. Next night, THE SAME THING HAPPENED after we'd already gone to bed. My husband went to the lobby in his bathrobe to complain. They taught him to override the circuit, but we had to do that every single time we came back to the room for 5 days. We also requested no AC twice (in November, mind you); in fact, we asked for heat but were told it had not yet been turned on for the year. We were chilly (nights in the low 50s). Breakfast was fine, location excellent, front desk staff either incompetent, messing with us, or simply didn't care. Would I stay there again? Not sure that I would.
This was a fantastic hotel walkable to all of the major sites. Staff were attentive and the breakfast was very good. The rooms were clean and beautiful
Great location and awesome roof top views, creative design details, comfortable bed and wonderful breakfast.
Not nearly as good as last year.My husband and I were looking forward to spend our last two days at ur hotel as we did last year.We had a beautiful upgrade free dinner and free transportation to airport non which happened this year.
The hotel staff were kind and accommodating. I was under the impression from the website description that the-restaurant was owned and operated by the hotel but it was not. I specifically chose this hotel because of the rooftop dining. We had a very disappointing experience with confusing messaging about party size and menu options, and a waiter that made the whole thing so unpleasant that two of the 6 of us decided to dine elsewhere. Would not recommend.
Very nice hotel.
We had a lovely stay. Our only comments is that the room we had was on the main road, which was noisy and the breakfast is limited.
A bit uncomfortable. Fell in the bathroom. Had to change rooms because, aside from the bed, there was nowhere to sit (aside from tiny cars and an small round table. Didn't care for the eco-friendly restrictions, which I'm sure saved the owner money, but only annoy guests. OK for price. Walkable area, but just too spartan for my tastes. They let a dog run loose in the hotel and it scared my spouse. The room service was quite good though. 3/5
Good location, not very friendly staffed at the desk.
Best boutique hotel in town.
Excellent. Loved the hotel and location. Friendly staff and wonderful service. Definitely will stay here again.
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and modern. Air conditioning was the real deal---room was cold in the extremely hot Roman summer. Can walk to most tourist sites.
Everything was amazing! Alina was fantastic! Very helpful and great experience!
Location very good. Rooms very clean. The staff at the welcome area were very kind. The waiters at the restaurant not as much. It is is the center of town and a bit loud with cars/sirens. However it was close walking to restaurants and shops so that was nice.
Spectacular location
Great spot near Tiber/Ancient Rome
Fabulous location near Ancient Rome and easy access to the Trastevere for good eating. My family was comfortable in room 504 with the corner balcony (worth it!) My only complaint is cigar smoke from the hotel restaurant above - it was overwhelming one night and kept us from enjoying the balcony. Front desk service is fantastic.
Easily walkable to the main sites in the centre of Rome, and very close (over the Tiber) to great eating and shopping places. Very well staffed and managed with excellent facilities.
Good location, small and quiet, nice staff
Good place!
Lovely and safe hotel. Very accommodating and helpful.
Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Location was an easy walk from dozens of cafes and small shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to this hotel.
Very nice room, service very helpful, rooftop bar/restaurant very good, within walking distance to most major sights
Great location. Great staff. 47 is my wife’s and my go to hotel whenever we’re in Rome.
It was a great hotel with great staff!!
Everything was great
Excellent location with outstanding service. Unfortunately it was a bit noisy a few times early in the mornings with loud music coming from somewhere nearby, most likely within the building.
Great location close to all the most important sites and central bus routes taking you anywhere else you might want to go, hotel provides bus passes and how to use them.

47 is a gem in the heart of Roma!
The location is top notch, close to everything and the staff was very attentive. This posh little spot is modern, beautifully decorated, but so welcoming! The hotel dogs were just precious and made it feel like home!
