Good Place To Stay

Great place to stay comfortable and clean. Good location, close to city.

Clean and comfortable

Clean, with all the amenities you could need. Nice staff, and a very comfortable bed. Perfect for me. Upon arrival, there was a note on the reception door to contact the owner manager, with a cell phone number. I would just suggest that they also include another means to communicate, such as WhatsApp, or an email address. As a tourist, I did not have cell phone service in New Zealand, but had data service and was able to communicate with places through WhatsApp and email. Fortunately, the dry cleaners right down the street allowed me to use their local cell phone to call the number.

Property manager was very helpful. Nice clean and well appointed rooms. Street noise a bit much until later in the evening, but not bad (we were in a unit on the street).

Great digs in a great location

Great accommodation in a great location, just a short walk from the town and a short drive to the station or airport. The host was very helpful, with luggage and arranging onward taxis to the airport.

Nice, reasonable lodging

Our room had reasonable space for a short stay & a kitchenette that was nicely provisioned. It was also nicely located for our area-interest (1/2 day wine tasting tour). And it's within short driving distance to a few restaurants.

Very clean and had everything we needed. Drapes could use an update. Wish it was a little closer to town, but still a very easy walk.

Good value and convenient location

I would highly recommend this motel - very clean and well equipped. Owner was very obliging!

This was a quite comfortable room, about on par with a Holiday Inn Express in the USA. It wasn't the fanciest room, but everything worked and was comfortable enough, and there was even a kitchen with the basic tools we needed to make a couple of dinners. Check-in was very easy. The location is nice for exploring Blenheim, being close to downtown and a supermarket, as well as a walking trail along a river. There is a little road noise at night, but it wasn't too much of a problem. We didn't hear our neighbors at all. The internet worked fine for streaming although we didn't do a speed test. Overall, it's a very good choice for a few nights

Bathroom flooded

Upon arrival the room looked perfect but it was only after being in it we spotted a few issues. Sadly it appears to be on the corner of a bit of sketchy looking st, we had residents shouting outside in the evening/night. There were bugs in rhe kitchen in the morning when preparing breakfast and we hadn't had any windows open. But worst of all, the shower flooded the bathroom. This happened because it wasn't draining properly and there is a large gap at the bottom of the showwer door, so it doesn't seal properly. This caused a dangerous slip hazard. I tried to go to reception to get extra towels to clean it up and notify them of the issue, but despite reception hours being from 7:30am-830pm there was no one around so had to use all the towels we were given upon check in to clean it. Disappointed as we'd been impressed with the look of it and positive reviews

Even though it was NY eve it was nice and quiet. Clean and very tidy, lovely staff, friendly and warm

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy parking was and how clean the room was! But the real gem of this motel is the staff! My ferry was already a late arrival but due to weather, we were delayed by hours! The motel worked with me on both my arrival and check out times! They were kind, understanding, and flexible! I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Great stay.

Excellent. Ferry arrived in late and the manager very kindly made arrangements for us to check in after the office closed. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable with two different pillow choices per person. Aircon was great. Stayed 2 nights. Great stay. Would happily stay again.

Good wee apartment. Quite quiet and all you need for a basic stay. Walking distance into town and close to most amenities. Would stay again.

Location, good communication and quieter than anticipated

We were moved from room 1 to room 6 because room 1 apparently had a “funny smell”. Turned out that room 6 was no better and smelt as if someone had closed all of the windows and doors and smoked a few packs of cigarettes. I alerted the reception whose only solution was to offer artificial fragrance sprays for the room. We declined because a mixture of synthetic chemicals and cigarettes would have been worse than the cigarette smell alone. The beds were rock hard. There were no electric blankets. My children woke the next morning with bug bites all over their arms and face. The area surrounding also felt unsafe, with various groups drinking and talking in the street into the early hours. We were glad to leave and happy our cars were still there when we woke up!

My kids said the beds were super comfy and they loved have a spa bath.

Thankyou to Kim & Sherelle, the best hostesses to help us with our needs. We turned up early morning to book in, the ladies were most hospitable to accommodate us & got one of the two rooms ready in a jiffy. The Motel is within walking distance to the township, interesting, pretty, relaxing.Our two rooms suited our needs fully. Will book again on the next visit. The 21st Birthday with the Maori Carving & Ancient sword went down a treat for the Northland Whanau who travelled to beautiful Blenheim.

We had a great room with spa. Staff very friendly and room was very clean. Had a flight of stairs, so those with mobility issues should ask for ground floor room. Although close to road, traffic noise was not an issue and bed was very comfortable. Great place to stay.

A nice, comfortable motel. Good facilities.

I paid more for a room with a jetted bath as, after a 10 hour drive from Dunedin, I thought it would be a nice luxury. Turns out the bath was broken :( Other rooms, with working baths were available but I was knowingly put into a room that had been knowingly damaged by a previous visitor. The iron was damaged and leaked water everywhere. The fridge was broken and shelves fell out. The staff I spoke with were absolutely lovely and offered me access to the bath in an adjacent room. I appreciated this but not the inconvenience. When I spoke to the decision makers, they just got defensive and didn't seem to understand where my disappointment was coming from. That said, after a long, tedious and repetitive conversation, I did get a partial refund. The main point that seemed not to get through though was that the room was not fit for purpose and, with other rooms available, should never have been offered.

Road noise, noisy 2nd storey, noisy neighbouring residential dog. Long night but comfortable

The property is nice, clean, and tidy with easy parking. Unfortunately, the room was not cleaned during our stay, we had no milk provided and had to contact the manager to make our payment for the room.

Family getaway

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here with family in a 2 bedroom unit. The staff are super friendly. The unit was clean and modern, had excellent air con. It is close to town and restaurans and supermarket. Comfy beds.

Good staff

Over all it was positive, although kitchenette a little too small and bathroom a bit messy with soft shower curtain.

Spotlessly clean, compact very well appointed unit. The smoke alarm went off at 11pm due to someone cooking in another unit, which was not ideal, but I would still reommend staying here.

THe place we got a downstairs unit for Disability, which was most helpful, Staff member made sure we were happy with everything.

This review is for our second time staying here. I have been able to work in a quiet room with fast internet. The staff are very friendly and the accommodation is very tidy and well equipped. The manager Sanket offers fantastic customer service, even remembering us from our previous visit and always making himself available for assistance when needed. Will stay here again.

Room was clean and had more cooking utensils available than most other Motels, only issue i had was the air freshener (mostly cause i always forget that they make me violently ill) but other than that it was a very enjoyable stay.

Highly recommend

Very friendly welcome and helpful. Room lovely and also clean. Had a brilliant sleep as bed was comfortable. We were there on Friday night and closest to the street so there was the odd loud car earlier on. So some traffic noise. Didnt worry us but if a very light sleeper maybe not get a room closest to the road. I would highly recommend and would stay again.

We stayed in an up stairs unit . With comfortable bed. Great shower. Nice kitchen with everything you need. Great interior love the nice green two seater. Down stairs was laundry facilities. Not far from the city centre.

The studio room had everything you will require. Very clean. Will definitely stay here if passing through Blenheim again.

Great facilities with friendly welcome

Very helpful and friendly owners who obviously take pride in the facilities. Although an older building on the outside the rooms were all recently re-fitted and include just about all the facilities you might need, including kitchenette and a generous amount of real milk, not a tine long life packet, Had a plunger, pity not the plunger coffee to go with it - instead of just instant coffee. Reasonable walk to town centre and restaurants.

Rooms were clean and more than adequate for our one night stay. Managers were very friendly and informative.

Great location - unit we stayed in was right on the corner of the motel which was rather nice in terms of having a larger balcony and viewing the road.

unit was clean tidy,had everything I needed for the night and was warm. it was a very cold night and heater had been turned on before my arrival and unit was nice and cosy to walk into
