The first night had a small hiccup, but the manager was quick to assist. They were very accommodating and showed that they cared about the place. Not everything is going to be perfect when you run a hotel or any type of business, but trying to grow from these things and taking measures to make the customer happy is top-notch. I would definitely recommend to stay for anyone in the area.

Christmas market break

3 nights stay, great location close to the basilica and christmas markets. Large modern room and bathroom the bed was a little hard. Breakfast was sufficient but not exceptional. The staff we very courteous helpful, they booked us an airport taxi on our last day

Really friendly reception staff. Everywhere clean. Good breakfast. Nice spacious room with seating area. Good location easy walk to riverfront. Drinks making selection poor, coffee was 3 in one so had to have sugar, no milk for tea.

A good location one block off the main street so much quieter. If you are arriving with a time change, request a room facing the courtyard. There is no real lobby but rather the street side breakfast room becomes the lobby later in the day. Rooms had nice high ceilings. A bit of austere in the decorating.

Everything was great but one star off because the WiFi kept going out.

Extremely loud guests in neighbouring rooms. However, staff was responsive about this. I had to call 3 times throughout the night about the noise coming from the room next to mine. Noise from street as it’s central to the party areas.

Nice room decor. Clean bathroom and room. Air conditioned. Low cost breakfast add on. Great price for facilities.

Good overall value, very helpful staff

Conveniently located, comfortable overall, very helpful staff (who also speaks English). Breakfast was good. Beds slightly uncomfortable (better than a pullout sofa bed but not the normal comfort one would expect).

Perfect location

This is a very nice hotel in a perfect location. The room was clean an nice. The only negative thing about our stay was not having a fridge in the room.

It was easy access to transportation. I was able to schedule a taxi at the hotel front desk to the airport that for me was very convenient because I had a 6:00 am flight departure. What I didn’t like about the hotel was that I ran out of soap in the bathroom, I asked numerous times at the front desk and it was never refilled

Central to the centre of town

This hotel is beautiful, well looked after, clean and tidy. The staff are amazing, very friendly and very helpful. It is in a great location.

As a wheelchair user, I found the Revay 12 hotel to be an excellent choice. It is very conveniently situated close to major sights. The Opera House is at one end of the street while the Basilica is at the end of the other. There are bars and restaurants all around. Also transport is good from this area although trams are not very accessible on all the lines. The room was spacious and the bathroom well appointed with many features that made it a safe environment for someone less able. There is a decent sized lift to all floors. The entrance is level although on a fairly steep camber. Not all the surrounding streets have dropped kerbs and pavement parking makes for some challenging routes from the hotel. This is typical of the city, however. The staff at the hotel are brilliant and will do everything possible to make your stay safe, comfortable and enjoyable. I would recommend Revay12 for a cmfortable and pleasant stay in a safe, accessible environment.

Very clean and pleasant room, all the staff were really friendly. Breakfast selection maybe a little limited but plenty of it available. Excellent location, close to St Stephen's Basilica (where there was a busy Christmas market with lots of excellent food and drink options). We'd happily stay here again if we return to Budapest.

Superbly Located

Lovely hotel in a great location and close to everything going on in Budapest in December. POSITIVES; Lovely clean hotel throughout. Very friendly and helpful reception staff who all spoke perfect English. Breakfast was plenty full but with limited warm options. Beds were comfortable and we had a good sized family room for 3 adults. NEGATIVES; TV in room only had 1 English channel which was BBC World, so it was only news. Also, very patchy connectivity, so it was unwatchable anyway. Room had a double sofa bed in it which was set up as a bed, but it blocked the passage to the toilet. Reception area had chairs to sit on but would have been better with some sofas. Hotel did not have a restaurant, so food wasn’t attainable at any other time other than breakfast.

Excellent location in district 5. Large room with nice powerful walk in shower . No fridge in the room which would have been appreciated. Our room didn't seem to get cleaned during our stay. Or topped up with water or tea and coffee . Friendly staff. Had breakfast once but €14 for basic continental is a bit over priced . Over all a nice place to stay

Fantastic stay

The hotel is in a fantastic location with only a 5min walk to the River and Stone Chain Bridge, I had a maximum of 30min walk to anything in the city. Despite being so central the hotel is still very quiet and safe. The hotel staff were fantastic and always happy to recommend and book restaurants for you. The room was lovely and very clean, I'll certainly be staying here again!

Excellent value.

Excellent value for money. All areas of the hotel were spotless. It misses 5 stars only because the room itself was a little tired with a number of scratches and scrapes to the furnishings. Optional breakfast was good and had a wide choice. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Overall this hotel added to our positive experiences in Budapest.

Great lodging in Budapest!

The room was spacious and very clean. It was very quiet at night and the breakfast buffet was outstanding! The location to many of the sites in Budapest was very convenient as well as local restaurants. We found the staff very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location

The picture of the bed in the ad is the only attractive part of the room. It’s Small, run-down with no toiletries other than a bottle of all purpose stuff for soap/shampoo/cream rinse. There is no coffee maker or fridge. Breakfast was minimal and eggs were cold. Maybe okay for $150 /night but do not book non-refundable as two of the nights cost over $300 despite availability of 4 star hotels in the neighbourhood.

Every receptionist we dealt with was super helfpul, friendly, and spoke great English. The location was very walkable to lots of things (and metro/bus stops are super close if it's to far to walk). Breakfast is also actually hearty, which is appreciated!

Great hotel with an excellent staff. Location was very important. Access to public transportation near the hotel, and walking distance to landmarks! Very good breakfast!

We really like the location. The breakfast buffet in the hotel was great; excellent variety. Every staff member was courteous and helpful . The only drawback was the poor Wi-Fi connection. We could receive e-mails but could not send them. The television kept losing the signal every few seconds then it would start up again. In spite of that, we would still return to Revay for all the previously mentioned reasons. Thank you also to Expedia.

Great value for the money and was in a excellent location for visiting the attractions. Staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast in the morning was good, which was included in the price. Would stay here again,only downfall was the room was very hot. As i said excellent otherwise.

Brand new hoyel with the most amazing team. I found Hugarian people a bit closed but here all the workers were so nice always smiling and at your service 24/7 EVERYONE! The best hotel we ever stayed. Breakfast with plenty of variety and different dishes every day. They call taxi and they pamper you with their amazing service. We had a crazy baby and they didnt even bother. We will be back!

The friendly and accommodating front desk staff.

We reserved an apartment-type room, which is on the top floor and includes a kitchenette. It was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The view of St. Stephen's Basilica was phenomenal, and one of my favorite parts! (Note that you can ONLY see the Basilica from the apartments, as they are on the top floor and can see over the neighboring buildings.) The only thing we didn't like was the bed. It was very firm, and we didn't sleep very well while we were there. (Also, it's worth noting that while they have a laundry service, it's quite pricey. That seems to be on par with other hotel laundry services we encountered, so it's not a mark against the hotel. Just a heads up for anyone who, like us, hadn't known what to expect.)

Location was perfect!!!

Excellent location. Very central for exploring the city. All staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would have liked a bit more choice of cereals for breakfast and unfortunately on our last two days toaster as out if use but overall breakfast was fine.

It’s perfectly located and the room has a good size with complimentary water. Only thing I wasn’t too happy was the sofa bed had bed bugs. Got 4 bites across 3 nights.

Clean and quiet hotel, perfectly located and such helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble, good breakfast choice and was regularly refilled.

It’s ok..

If there is an option to stay here, or in a Premier Inn, stay in the Premiere Inn.. The bed is probably the most uncomfortable bed I have stayed in, and breakfast was lacking in variety. The rest of the time I was not there.. Was just all a bit “meh...”

The location was great and while the room was small, it was comfortable. There was a hot water maker and I appreciated being able to enjoy tea!

Super location, great breakfast buffet

Hotel Revay 12 was a great choice for our stay in Budapest. It was within a block or two of the principal transportation center, the Jewish Quarter (and its many eateries, night life, and famous synagogue), and many tourist sites. The hotel seemed new because of its modern, sleek design. We appreciated its comfortable beds, the modern bathroom, and the great breakfast buffet for a reasonable price. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located on a quiet side street despite its central location. One unexpected plus was the nearby laundromat, Bubbles, that was a godsend after spending several weeks on the road. A variety of free walking tours have their meeting point by a nearby park (the one with the ferris wheel). We loved Budapest, and, since there is so much to see and do, we'll be sure re-book at this hotel. It is one that tourists of all ages would enjoy.

Perfect location

Property was in an excellent location, right beside the basilica and was of an easy walking distance to top stops such as the Budapest eye, ruin bars and major shops and restaurants. Rooms were poorly lit but clean and cleaned daily with fresh tools and equipped with everything needed for a short city stay. Breakfast was limited but adequate and overall the hotel was safe and a 24 hour reception and hotel bar offered a great sense of security and reassurance. A great stay in a great city and this hotel made the stay enjoyable and I would stay at this hotel again in the future or recommend to anyone to stay here too

Good Hotel

First of all we couldn't find the hotel and called. The girl was not very helpful but she tried. When we got there, we found the room was very clean, the breakfast was very good with lots of choices to pick from. Air Conditioning worked pretty well, we had private bathroom that were clean.

great hotel location for getting to see tourist places. beds were big enough & comfortable. I went there for dental treatment so staying in the hotel was handy. The breakfast was good but somewhat different. The tv channels are a waste of time. Staff very helpful & the hotel was very clean.

This hotel was a very good choice. The rooms was ample in size as well as the bathroom. We found our room to be clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The only improvement is that the bathroom could use better lighting.

Best Hotel in Budapest!!

I cannot say enough about this amazing hotel! We booked a top floor apartment and it was beautiful, spacious and had a remarkable view. The staff was utterly kind and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay even better than it already was. Budapest is a beautiful city with extremely friendly people and very affordable. When we go back, because we definitely will, I would not hesitate to book this hotel again. The location is superb, it's close to everything so you can walk to all the sites within 15 minutes. The hop on hop off bus stop is one block away, which was another bonus for us. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for it's accommodations, it's location as well as it's extremely courteous staff.

The location of the property was perfect for sightseeing, shopping, and eating as there were a ton of option within easy walking distance. The hop on hop off busses have several lines with stops nearby. We had a great view of the basilica from our apartment room. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our questions. The breakfast offered lots of choices for a picky eater.

First time in Budapest. Excellent location--1 block from the Opera House and 2 blocks from St.Stephens, spotless with a great bed mattress. Enjoyed the natural open-heartedness of the helpful staff.

Nice hotel with great location

Hotel was lovely and staff pleasant. It's in a great location to explore the city. We had a suite which was well presented and clean and tidy. Nice view of the basilica. Breakfast was good. 2 issues for me were that the shower was awful It did not work properly and did not drain at all so flooded the bathroom. Also the balcony on the suites are a nice touch but could do with weeding! aside from that I enjoyed out stay and would recommend the place.

Great location for walking and public transit, but on a quieter street. Good buffet breakfast. WiFi speed is slow.

10 a.m. check out time is way too early, but it took until 2 p.m. for my room to be ready. Deluxe room has no fridge. No shampoo provided. Some street noise from garbage collection early morning. I felt I did not receive value for money. There are so many other hotels to choose from.

Up to date hotel, very clean. Nice breakfast buffet. Walking distance from 2 different subway stops. 1 block from Opera House & St. Istvan's Cathedral. Very helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.
